Chapter 1. Intro

Kisses is keeping an eye on her phone, impatiently checking the time.

Mag-iisang oras na siyang naghihintay sa favorite restaurant nila. Panay rin ang tawag nito sa telepono pero tanging secretarya ang sumasagot sakaniya.

Naiinip na ito, kung hindi lang talaga niya namimiss ito, baka kanina pa siya umalis.

Halos dalawang linggo na silang hindi nagkikita dahil sa magkaibang schedules nila.

Her boyfriend is busy with his business here and abroad. Panay ang byahe nito from Ph going to Macau, New York and back to Ph while Kisses is also busy preparing for her upcoming pageant which would be held a month from now.

Nakakailang lingon na ito sa pintuan hoping to see her boyfriend coming pero wala parin. She sighed in dismay.

"Ma'am . . ." The male crew approached her holding a pitcher of iced tea. Humugot ito ng isang malalim na paghinga at sinundan ng marahang tango.

Pangatlong refill na ito sa baso niya wala parin ang hinihintay niya.

"Five minutes Kiss." She mumbled to herself trying to calm herself down. "Please don't stood me up again this time" she whispered silently but later on felt a hand placed on her shoulder. She abruptly turned her head to see the person she's been waiting for.

Her face instantly lit upon seeing the face she's been longing to see. Finally!

"Sorry babe, the meeting ended later than expected. Kanina ka pa?" The remorseful voice of his made her heart melt instantly. A quick peck on her forehead made her forget the anger she felt just now

She shook her head, "it's fine!" She said with a wide grin.

He sat in front of her and instantly grabbed the menu."let's order. I only have an hour" Tanner said with a scoff as he scanned the menu.
Agad na lumukot ang mukha ni Kisses. She missed him so bad, at kung siya ang tatanungin, kulang ang isang araw para maibsan ang pangungulila niya rito. Ano pa kaya ang isang oras lang?

But what can she do? Alam naman niyang bago pa man naging sila, dedicated na talaga ito sa trabaho niya. And she chose to be with him despite that, ngayon pa ba siya susuko?

"What's wrong?? Look Kiss, I'm really sorry." He said in an apologetic tone as he squeezed her hand when he noticed the frown on his woman's face.

"No babe, it's fine." She said forcing a smile as she took a sip of her tea.
Taimtim siya nitong tiningnan. "Really! It's fine!" She insisted. But her face is saying otherwise.
Her brows furrowed as she made a quick glance at him and back to the menu she was holding.

Tanner chose the food and ordered it right away, they've been dating for quite some time now kaya alam na alam na niya ang panlasa nito.

He was abiut to wrap it up when Kisses stopped him.
"Babe, i'll have garden salad instead" she said as she held back her fiance's hand.
Tanner frowned.

"What's the use of starving yourself Kiss??" He hissed keeping his focus on his fiance's face. Malaki ang pinayat nito. Banayad niyang hinaplos ang pisngi nito. "Look at you, ang payat na ng mukha mo, I told you not to join that pageant anymore"
He said evidently showing his objection with the thought of his fiance joining a pageant.

Kisses let out a deep sigh,

"Tanner, pag-aawayan nanaman ba natin to? Akala ko na napag-usapan na natin to?" Kisses pouted as she rolled her eyes avoiding her fiance's strong gaze. ". . .hindi naman ako nagrereklamo sa career na pinili mo, i hope you do the same with mine" pagtatampo nito. Agad na kinuha ni Tanner ang kamay niya at hinalikan ang likod ng palad.
