Brendon: Jade? I got a call from your school today. We need to talk about it. Why did you tell someone, or even me, that they were hurting you?
Jade: No one cares. No one would listen. I didn't tell anyone because no one would believe me.
Brendon: I would have! You should have told me.
Jade: Even if I did, what could you do. You're in Vegas and I'm in Detroit.
Brendon: I could have helped you through it. I should have known before he beat you up.
Jade: you're too busy.
Brendon: I'm never too busy for you. You're my daughter.
Jade: And I haven't seen you in years. What's the point in telling you?
Brendon: I'm your father, Jadelyn. I'd like to know. And I'd rather hear it from you than from the school.
Jade: Don't call me Jadelyn. My name is Jade, not Jadelyn. Besides you're never around to notice so it's useless.
Brendon: don't forget, I'm the one that named you. Your full name is Jadelyn.
Jade: Whatever. I've got to go. Bye Brendon.
