Strong Woman

My momma told me she was a Strong Woman.

A strong woman I thought... What is that?

Is it the way she struggles to pay the bills living from pay-check to pay-check.

Is that what makes a strong woman?

Or is it the way that she has to look into her child's eyes and tell them that the reason they had to leave home and live in a car was all part of a new adventure, even though it was a disguise.

Now is that? Is that what makes a strong woman?

Or is it the way she provides a meal with a few dollar bills for the whole family, even though she might not have enough for herself, what makes her a strong woman?

Or maybe it's the way she never let's her head down, even when she thinks it's the end, when she thinks her glass is full and that's all she could bear, but still looks up and sees a brighter future.

Now is that what makes a strong woman?
