Bella was crying while her mother was furiously packing Bella's belongings in suitcases and boxes.I stayed watching from the corner."You little traitor Bella's mother screeched your just like your man-whore of a father.

Bella flinched at her mother's harsh words mo-mommy you know I love you but lately you haven't been acting like my mommy,now every time I ask you for help on homework you push away and tell me to go ask the maid you left me at school the other day for two hours after school was over because you didn't feel like dealing with me.

Monica Bella's mom looked like she was about to snap and slap Bella when I pulled Bella away from her mother at the same time her father pulled Monica away.

Monica he hissed Don't take your anger out on Bella it's not her fault she been you acting like such a bitch lately and it's not her fault she's closer to me than you.Tell me when have you ever been to one of Bella's school plays or dance recitals.Monica looked away pissed I'm going for a drink you and that little traitor better be gone when I'm back and Bella I don't ever want to see you again you can consider me dead.

By the way, Seth consider taking Bella to therapy she's seeing things who was it you called out again Bella?Bella looked away from her mother ignoring her question.Answer me you little Bitch.Seth pulled Bella from me and hid her behind him.What was her name again?Serena? No,that's not it.Caroline?No that's not it.Wait it was Scarlett wasn't it Bella?Bella looked down ashamed Bella had a friend previously named Scarlett but she dumped her when she found out Bella still slept with a teddy bear.Monica must have  assumed that was the Scarlett Bella was calling out for.Looks like poor Bella still isn't over the facts she was dumped.Pathetic sneered Monica.With that, she walked down the stairs slammed the main door to the house and sped away to a local bar.

Seth turned around to look at Bella sweetie listen I don't care what your mother said you went through a lot with Scarlett it's okay if you miss her just talk to me okay we'll figure out what the best way to cope is.Bella nodded but didn't look at her father she was looking at me where I had stood with Bella before her father took her from me unintentionally.Okay come on baby let's finish packing so we can get on the road before your mom comes back.

And Bella your mother didn't mean what she said about her never wanting to see you again Seth said.Bella nodded  again knowing that neither of them believes Monica would ever talk to them again.Bella and her father finished packing side by side.Finally, an hour and a half later they were done Monica had still not returned and wishing not to still be there when she came back they quickly stuffed Seth's car with their suitcases and boxes and drove away to Seth's childhood home that his mom had left for him when she died a few years back.

When they arrived in Seth's childhood town Corpus Christi it was still early so they stopped at a little lonely restaurant named Sal's seafood for the fresh fish neither of them spoke a word while they were there they were too busy processing what had happened earlier that day. Later as they were walking on the boardwalk eating ice cream from a nearby parlor Seth finally broke the silence.Bella honey I know this is hard mommy being miles away and you not knowing anybody here but I think a fresh start is what we all need I love your mom I really do but I don't she was ready to be a mom when you were born she valued her career too much, in fact, I don't think she's even ready to be a mom now she's too stubborn and distant.
