We Are Young

Give me a second, I need to get my story straight...

It's nighttime, and I'm at a bar, and I've just met a guy, and we've been talking...

And between the drinks and subtle things, I think it might be working out...

So if by the time the bar closes and we feel like falling down, I'll carry him home, but tonight, we are young, and we can burn brighter than the sun.

The moon is on my side, and I have no reason to run. This can lead to something good, I think.

Who knows, maybe I'm not actually straight.

"Dan."

I looked over at the slurring man with blue eyes and black hair.

"Let's hit the city, shall we?"

"In this state?" I giggled.

"Yeah," he smiled, looping an arm through mine messily. "It'll be like a date. Have you ever been on a date with a guy?"

"No."

"Are you hay, I mean, gay?"

"I'm not sure," I burped attractively. "Not sure about being gay, I mean, I'm sure I'm not hay."

The man, Phil was his name I think, laughed and told me I was funny.

"Everything's going to be funny to you," I argued, "You're drunk."

"No, no, I can be serious too," he said. "Let's go." He pulled my arm and we were suddenly out the door.
