Days passed and Marinette started acting more friendly and confident towards me at school for the next couple of days. The Adrien part of me, I mean.

She would ask to me about my fencing and piano practices sometimes and slide in a joke about the amount of work we have at school. And I'd just blush because it feels awkward to be talking so casually to a person who doesn't even know that you'd been making love with them the previous night.

Each time I saw her, I had to remind myself that I wasn't Chat Noir and that I couldn't just walk up to Marinette and kiss her senseless in front of the school... Well, I could, but that would've just caused confusion.

I didn't know what to feel— uneasy because I knew the truth as to why she was acting like that; or relieved because we could finally have a normal conversation without her stuttering or hesitating.

But, honestly, I felt a bit disappointed when she stopped being nervous in front of me; her clumsy actions used to always remind me that she had this huge crush on me and that her love towards me would be too difficult to manage so she couldn't even form words when trying to ask me out.

Now that Marinette no longer had a crush on Adrien Agreste, it would also be a lot more complicated once I'd tell her my true identity. My mind was racing, confused and utterly nervous about her reaction towards me after she found out that her Chat was actually that guy she'd been bragging to me about during those lonely nights.

"I'd never seen anything this deep in thought since 1912," Plagg commented, resting on my bed, "When one of Miraculous Keepers had a chess competition against a champion—"

"Not now," I interrupted, rubbing the temples of my head, "I need to just sort out my problems."

"How's that working out for you?"

I glared at my Kwami. What did he know about love? All he ever cared about was Camembert and making other people feel stupid. Marinette cared— she listened to everything I wanted to say. She was kind, smart, funny...incredibly sexy... I was the luckiest cat alive to even have the slightest of chances with her. Now I'm her boyfriend (well, in secret). But nobody knew that— everyone still believed that Marinette Dupain-Cheng was single.
