Y/N POV
'Why did it have to be them... Why not some other zombie. Why not E/N (Enemy Name) or at least a stranger. Why them... why.... Why not me instead. They were a better person than I am. Why did they have to leave me.... Why.' I think while I cry into my hands.
I look to make sure Jack is ok. He's killing them but he has a... grin on his face?
'grin? What? Why would he be smiling. Why? Is this guy insane? I mean I barley know him. Could he turn on me and kill me. I mean he has already killed at least 1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-9-10-11. 11 corpses I wonder if he ever killed a human?' I was suddenly shook out of my thoughts by Jack shaking me.
"Are you ok why are you crying again?" He says worried. I slowly point at B/F/N's corpse laying on the ground. He looked over and saw what I was pointing to. He quickly looked back and stared into my eyes.
"Listen they are gone. They are probably having a much better time than we are in whatever afterlife they believed in." He said with a dry laugh.
"I-I" I couldn't speak, he just sounded so heartless.
"Listen sorry if they were your friend but we really don't have time for this." He says wiping away my tears. I was going to say something but I couldn't... So I just nod my head.
Jack POV
The corpses where in my way. So I had to kill them but while doing so I couldn't help but smile. Each zombie killed is another person saved.
'They killed them. They killed all of them so it is their turn to die. Again!' As I'm thinking I hear crying and saw Y/N crying... After I finished killing them all I went over to her. She pointed to one of the corpses, my emotions went numb. I wipe away her tears and hope I didn't say anything stupid. We have to go. Now.
Y/N POV
Jack helps me up as we walk to the door. He slides it open and pulls me outside with him. He closes and chains the door shut.
He pulls me close and his lips were right beside my ear. "If I die the key to the lock on the chain is in my front pocket." He whispers and pulls away.
Again I nod, 'what if Jack did die what would I do? The answer is simple probably die.'
