Violet woke up in Anthony's room on his leather couch. But Anthony's eyes weren't the ones that were looking back at her. But bloodshot brown ones, he looked tired and angry. She rubbed her eyes and then her blurry vision cleared.
"Samuel?" she asked.
She pinched herself over and over again, "is this real?" she asked herself.
"Yes, baby girl. It's real."
"I hate you, you selfish piece of trash!" she screamed.
"I'm sorry Vi," he said walking over to her.
He caressed her cheek softly, "I'm sorry my love, I just I needed to find myself. You don't understand what our family is in?"
"What?" she asked.
"They're apart of the mafia baby doll."
A snort escaped her lips, "the mafia, really. That only happens in the movies or those fantasy books I used to read. Really, you're not funny," she looked at his serious expression, "you're scaring me, Sam. Stop it!" she cried tears in her eyes.
"I'm sorry, doll," he said caressing his cheek.
"Don't you doll me, get me out of this hell hole!" she cried tears running down my cheeks.
"Fine!" he yelled.
"When did you get lighter? Why are your eyes now lighter? What's with the tattoo's what's wrong with you Samuel. I don't even know if it's you."
"It's always been me tho," he said slowly.
"I'm leaving," she put her blue-purple hair up in a ponytail and marched out of the room.
She was blocked by a tall figure. She couldn't put her finger on it but she had met him before, she squinted really hard, "Christopher?"
"The one and only."
"You're the one who kidnapped me, you're the one you tried to kill me," Violet said out of breath.
"Yes I am, but I'm not going to kill you, I'm going to kill your little boyfriend, wait. I'm not going to kill him, you are!" he shoved a huge gun in her hand.
"And what makes you think that I'm going to even do it!" she spat.
Christopher left and then came back with Aaron in his hands and a knife around his neck, "and you really think that I won't? I am a hit man, I kill men, women, and children!" he spat.
She didn't respond, and he pressed the knife deeper in his throat, Aaron was crying and gasping for air, "okay," she said.
"Great," he dropped Aaron and he hit the floor with a loud thud.
Violet ran over to his side and whispered comforting words in his ear in french. His crying calmed and he drifted off to sleep. Violet would have thought he was dead if she didn't hear his steady heartbeat.
"Now, if he isn't dead by next week, I'm killing Aaron. Don't test me, you don't know who are what you're playing with."
"You're a monster!" she spat.
"Eh," he shrugged his shoulders, "I've been called worse."
"You're just going to let him do that!" Violet asked Samuel.
"Anthony took my father away from me. I was going to get Chris to kill his girl, but when I found out it was you. I thought about it and I rather have him die than you."
"Wow, thanks," she said dryly.
"You better make it painful. I want him in pain and begging for mercy," he said and Violet saw something in his eyes.
Yes, craziness but also hurt and the fact that he knew what he was doing was wrong, "Sam. I know you don't want to do this. You're speaking out of pain and hurt," she said handing his gun back to him.
He snatched it and aimed it do his head and the scoffed and aimed it to hers, "I'm not taking my life. But I'm taking yours," he said.
"Sam, I'm your sister!" Violet pleaded.
"If I didn't care when I killed our brother and I sure won't care when I kill you. Any last words before I blow your head off?"
"Yes, go to hell."
Christopher came back and sighed, he took the gun out of Samuel's hand and placed it down, "boi, you need to get it together, we need her to kill Anthony. So I get my mill and you get your mill."
"From who?" she asked.
"Oh, your mother," he said.
"My mother?" Violet asked, "she's dead I saw her in her casket and you," she pointed to Sam.
"Those were fake dolls, cost a whole lot of money. But totally worth it," Christopher snickered.
"You guys are sick!" she spat holding Aaron close to her.
"We know," Samuel and Christopher said at the same time and started laughing.
Silent tears ran down Violet's cheek, 'what they heck did I get myself into?'
