"Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey join underneath the **highrock** for a clan meeting"

Appointing a Deputy:

Leader: "I say these words before the body of **previous deputy**, so that his/her spirit may hear and approve my choice. **new deputy** will be the new deputy of **Clan name**."

The Apprentice Ceremony

Leader: "[insert kit's name here], from this moment on, you will be known as [insert kit's apprentice name here]."

"[insert the name of warrior who is to mentor the kit here], you are ready to take on an apprentice. You will be mentor to [insert apprentice name here]."

"[insert the name of warrior who is to mentor the kit here], you have shown yourself to be a [insert two qualities of the warrior here (ex. brave, strong, etc.)] warrior. Do all that you can to pass on what you know down to [insert apprentice's name here]."

Leader Ceremony

The leader-to-be goes to the Moonstone/Moonpool to share tongues with StarClan.

StarClan: Welcome Bluefur. Are you ready to receive your nine lives?

Leader-to-be: Yes... I'm ready.

Nine StarClan cats that were closest to the leader-to-be will offer lives of their own.

First StarClan cat: With this live I give you courage. Use it well to protect your clan.

A shock of pain goes through the leader-to-be, leaving her gasping.

Second StarClan cat: With this life I give you justice. Use it well as you judge the actions of others.

Again, a shock of pain goes running through the leader-to-be.

Third StarClan cat: With this life I give you loyalty to what you know is right. Use it well to guide your Clan in times of trouble.

Less pain goes through the leader-to-be. There is goodness in this life.

Fourth StarClan cat: With this life I give you tireless energy. Use it well to carry out your duties as leader.

This life feels like running forever and the exhilaration of speed.

Fifth StarClan cat: With this life I give you protection. Use it well to care for your Clan as a mother cares for her kits.

The life pains the leader-to-be, like a mother defending her kits.

Sixth StarClan cat: With this life I give you mentoring. Use it well to train the young cats of your Clan.

The life is a great cloud of anguish so great the leader-to-be will think she was having a heart attack.

Seventh StarClan cat: With this life I give you compassion. Use it well for the elders of your Clan, and the sick, and all those weaker than you.

The life doesn't hurt as much as the ones at first, and the leader-to-be bares it.

Eighth StarClan cat: With this life I give you love. Use it well for all the cats you care about-especially Oakheart.

The leader-to-be braces for the pain, but it doesn't come. This life is filled with warmth and love.

Final StarClan cat (the last leader): Welcome, Bluefur, my warrior and deputy. I knew you would make a great leader one day.

The leader-to-be bows her head.

Last leader: With this life I give you nobility, certainty, and faith. Use it well as you lead your Clan in the ways of StarClan and the warrior code.

The warmth of the last life lulled the leader-to-be, and she wasn't ready for the agony that followed the last leader's. She got fierceness, sadness, and suffering. It got happiness and terror and finally, power. It finally ended in calm acceptance and joy. All the StarClan warriors rise and signal the leader-to-be to rise too.

Last leader: I hail you by your new name, Bluestar. Your old life is no more. You have now received the nine lives of a leader, and StarClan grants to you the guardianship of Thunderclan. Defend it well; care for the young and old; honor your ancestors and the traditions of the warrior code, and live each life with pride and dignity.

Just like a warrior ceremony, the warriors of StarClan chant the new leader's name.

Making Warriors:

Leader: **Mentors name**, are you satisfied that this apprentice is ready to become a warrior?"

Mentor: "Yes, she/he is ready"

Leader: "I (**Leader name**, leader of **clan name**) call upon my warrior ancestors to look down upon this apprentice. He/she has trained hard to understand the ways of your noble code, and I commend him/her to you as a warrior in his/her turn."

Leader: " **Apprentice name**, do you promise to uphold the warrior code and defend this clan, even at the cost of your life?"

Apprentice: " I do "

Leader: " Then by the powers of Starclan I give you your warrior name. **Apprentice name**, from now on, you will be known as ** Warrior name**. ** Clan name** welcomes you as a full warrior."

Medicine Cat Apprentice Ceremony

Medicine Cat: "Cats of [insert Clan name here], it is time for me to take on an apprentice. Your next medicine cat will be [insert new medicine cat apprentice here]."

Leader: "[insert medicine cat apprentice here], do you accept the post of apprentice to [insert name of medicine cat here]?"

Medicine Cat Apprentice: "I do."

Leader: "Then at the half-moon, you must travel to Mothermouth to be accepted by StarClan before the other medicine cats. The good wishes of all [insert Clan name here] will go with you."

Medicine Cat Ceremony

Medicine Cat: "I, [insert medicine cat's name here], medicine cat of [insert Clan name here], call upon my warrior ancestors to look down upon this apprentice. [He/She] has trained hard to understand the way of a medicine cat, and with your help [he/she] will serve [his/her] Clan for many moons."

"[insert medicine cat apprentice's name here], do you promise to uphold the ways of a medicine cat, to stand apart from rivalry between Clan and Clan, and to protect all cats equally, even at the cost of your life?"

Medicine Cat Apprentice: "I do."

Medicine Cat: "Then by the powers of StarClan I give you your true name as a medicine cat. [insert medicine cat apprentice's name here], from this moment you will be known as [insert medicine cat apprentice's new name here]. StarClan honors your [insert two qualities here]."

New Mentor Ceremony

Leader: " I call upon my warrior ancestors to give this apprentice a new mentor. **Apprentice name**, you have lost your first mentor, so your new mentor will be **new mentor's name** "

New Name:

Leader: "I call upon my warrior ancestors to take away the name of this cat. For it now longer stands for who she/he is. **Cat name**, from now on, you shall be known as **new name**.

Warriors to Elders:

Leader: " **Warrior name**, is it your wish to give up the name of warrior and go to join the elders? 

New elder: 'it is'

Leader: " Your clan honors you and all the service you have given us. I call upon Starclan to give you many seasons of rest."
