Chapter 4: The new girl

The girl had an average height and long blond hair, which were blue and purple as they ending.

She was starting to wake up. And the others were really curious about what was going to happen next.
Riko took a step closer to the unknown girl, and another one and one more till she arrived next to her.

-"Are you awake?" ,she asked staring at her

The girl opened her eyes slowly and then Riko asked her one more time:

-"Are you awake?"

She widened her eyes and then tried to stood up ,but she hit her head with Riko's. "Ouch" ,both of them kinda screamed.

-"Where am I, who are you, what am I doing here?" ,the girl asked as she was trying to stand up again

-"I'm Riko! And well... sorry for hiting you. The other questions have to wait till you meet the others" ,Riko said with a cute and smiley face

The others arrived at the spot where the girl came from.

-"Hello I'm Kanato! And this is Rei, James, Allison, Connor... and as I see you've already met Riko!"

-"I'm Jasmine, nice to meet you... I think..." ,she said making a face of hate for some reason

-"You are going to take some answers in a while ,at least when we all go to the cafeteria and get over all that shock that we've been through!" ,Connor told her with a serious face.

Later at the cafeteria

All of them were staring at Jasmine and none was talking. Jasmine decided to broke the silence.

-"You said that you were going to give me some answers. I'm here now and I want them! So were are we?" ,she said irritated

-"I don't think that we should trust her!" ,Allison warned the others

-"I believe that we are all at the same situation and we need to help each other!" ,Kanato said confidently

-"Thanks short straw! You have to listen to him honey pie if you want to get on well with me!" ,said Jasmine with a snob attitude

-"What's that suppose to mean?" ,Rei interrupted

-" Oh ,what a surprise, you can talk! You were too silenced that I thought that you couldn't make any sound." ,said Jasmine with a smirk

-"Guys just stop it!" ,Connor shouted

All of them stopped fighting. Silence covered the cafeteria and Connor started to talk:

-"Ok, now that you all stopped, listen to me. We cannot trust anybody anyway, so we have to tell her everything we know. So let's start. Firstly, we are trapped from a psycho who wants us to pass some tests and the one who cannot respond easily to them dies. Only one of us will stay alive or that's what voice says..." ,Connor explained

-"Is there any exit?" ,Jasmine asked

-"The only exit is playing the game or accept a place in my heart my beloved flower." ,James said

-"I'm not datin' with guys who are less beautiful than me!" ,Jasmine answered

-"You're still attacking us with no reason!" ,Allison told her irritated

-"Allison don't start again I thought we got that through." ,Kanato said

-"Oh short straw I love the way you defend me!" ,Jasmine said and hugged him

-"Ohhh we have a couple here!" ,said Riko with enthusiasm
"Should we call them Kasmine or Janato? What do you think guys?" ,she added with a cute expression

-"That's ridiculous... " ,said Rei and rolled her eyes

The others were looking at each other. They didn't know how to react. Some of them were thinking that Jasmine might be a big problem, some others that she is going to be another victim like the last three and others that she is a new ally or a friend ,a strange noise broke their thoughts.

-"What was that?" ,Jasmine asked

-"If I'm not wrong this might have come from a speaker " ,Rei replied

-"Hahahah congrats Rei-chan!" ,the voice interrupted "Well don't forget that in four days you are going to face a new challenge! And I wanna show you that I am also a good person soooo I will tell you next challenge's theme!". The speaker released some drums noises and then stopped for a while. " It's going to be a speed race ,but not a common one. This one is going to have some obstacles that you have to get through. You will fight with time cause you will only have 20 minutes to go to the finish line. If the time stops and there are more than one of you in the arena then all of them will die! The last one who will get to the finish line is also going to die too! I hope you'll prepare yourselves for that tough battle!" ,the voice said and silence covered the cafeteria

-"A speed race, that's amazing!" ,said Riko with enthousiasm

-"Riko that's not good. What if more than one of us die!?" ,Connor told her

All of them decided to leave cafeteria and go to their rooms.
It was already midnight ,when someone knocked Rei's door.

-"Who is it?" ,Rei asked

-"It's me..." ,Rei heard from outside

Rei decided to open her door. She was surprised ,when she saw Allison in front of her.

-"Can I come in?" ,she said

-"Sure"

They remained silent for five minutes, Allison wasn't sure if it was good idea to knock Rei's door, but she was scared for the first time in this game. At first she hesitated, but then she decided to talk to Rei.

-"We can't trust her. She came from an elevator in the middle of the arena... I don't trust her... she already attacked us with offensive words." ,Allison said and waited Rei's response

Rei kept the silence for a little while and then she replied: "I don't trust her either and I believe that she is going to betray us sooner or later. It's a matter of time. I think that she will do her first move in the course."

-"Shouldn't we do something?" ,Allison asked

-"No" ,Rei answered

-"What!? But why?" ,Allison asked again confused

-"We should let her make the first move and then we will fight back" ,Rei said with angry eyes for the first time

They were keep talking for an hour, then their conversation ended with a good night and they decided to take a rest.
Was that a new alliance between Allison and Rei? Did they plan to get rid of Jasmine one and for all?
Who knows... That night all slept well, but not all of them in their rooms... Who was missing?
