I blindly bashed my hands against my table, willing for the sound to stop

FINALLY
I not-so-gracefully stumbled out of bed and into my bathroom, had a shower, brushed my teeth and washed my face before working on the rats nest other people may refer to as my hair.
I dressed myself in a pair of skinny jeans and my favourite light brown wooly jumper, ready for the day ahead of me.
I strolled down the stairs and noticed it was awfully quiet, mum and dad must've gone to work early. I quickly are my breakfast, only just noticing that I'd be late if I left a moment later.
I blindly ran across the road and to the bus stop, barely missing a removal van. I tried to get a look at who my new neighbours apparently were, but it was pretty hard with all the boxes and vans covering the house. I shook the thought out of my head and stuck my hand out for the oncoming bus to stop. I hopped on and hurriedly tapped my oyster card, hoping i'd make it to school in time.

So this is the first book i've wrote so in advance pls excuse my amateur writing.
Also, this book is set in the UK if you were wondering why doesnt she have a car blah blah blah.
I dont rlly expect much from this book but perhaps it'll help improve my writing skills and maybe get me closer to A* level english skills lololol
The chapters will get longer btw lool this is just a filler hehe
