The week went by smoothly with no trouble or any problems. Stacy and the other girls in my class still fantasize over Mr. Sanders while I secretly admire him. There's no denying how hot he is. " His face is like it was sent straight from heaven without having a hard time like the rest of the male teachers here" Stacy remarked. "You always have something to say don't you?" I ask as I smile at her.  She rolled her eyes at me as she laughed lightly.

"Anyways, did you hear about the party Jessica is holding at her place tomorrow?" She asked me but I knew what she was implying on. "Yes, Stace but I can't go. I have a project due Monday and I have to finish it over the weekend." I told her. "Why do you have to be such a boring ass? Everyone here is going and you don't want to go because of a stupid project?" She asked but I just shrugged my shoulders.

"I don't know about you but I'm going." She said as she flipped her long black hair back. She was very pretty girl with long black hair reaching her back, green eyes, and a good figure. Every guy would throw themselves at her but she would always decline them saying she wants to meet her Mr. Perfect and not some random guy.

"Can we please go home? My feet are killing me from walking all day long." I complained as we headed for her car. "You're not the only one" she said sounding exhausted. We entered and drove away.

.........

"Mom, I'm home!" I called out.

"Mom's out  shopping, darling" my dad called back from his study. I went upstairs and shoved my school bag into my room as I went straight to the study.

"Hey dad" I greet him as I enter.

"Hey, Kayla.....how was your day?" he asked his eyes still glued to his computer.

"Oh it's the usual. You?" I ask

"Well I found interesting news about my research." he answered proudly.

"And what may that be?" I asked.

"Werewolves!" He answered loudly.

"Werewolves? Really? I thought you were gonna say something more believable like Big Foot." I joked but he wasn't laughing. "I'm serious Kay...I got complaints from people living near the woods saying they hear howls at night." he said trying to make me understand.

"Well those could be dogs or even just wolves, you know how the woods is filled with them." I said.

Dad works at a research program for supernatural beings and he believes werewolves and vampires or other supernatural beings are real that's why he chose to work there. I, on the other hand, think it's just a waste of time and knowledge studying something that isn't real.

"I'll be downstairs if you need me." I told him as I begin to walk out of the study.

"Sure but quick reminder, your mom and I won't be around tomorrow. It's our anniversary and I'm taking her out." he said with a smile on his face.

"Oh dad, I didn't know still got it." I tease as a blush forms on his cheeks but I quickly walk out before he starts lecturing me for my inappropriate use of language

On the bright side, I have the whole of Saturday  for myself.

********

The morning sunlight hits me and I groan mentally scolding myself for forgetting to draw the curtains at night. I quickly finish my morning routine and head downstairs for breakfast. I greet my parents and we sit at the dining table talking about random things.

Before I knew it, afternoon hits and my parents are getting ready for their date. I help mom with her makeup and outfit. Dad was already waiting for me downstairs. We meet him by the front door where he held out his arm for her. She accepts it and as they walk out I shout, "Don't do anything I wouldn't do."

"Kayla!" mom scolds as dad laughs out loud.

To tell you the truth, I had no project to finish, I just really didn't want to go that party. Parties are a great way to make new friends but it isn't my kind of way. I walk back to my room and fall face first into the bed.

................

I don't know how much time has passed but when I wake up, I hear Max growling loudly downstairs. I curse loudly as I make my way out of the room and towards a now barking Max.

"What the hell Max?" I yell for him to stop but I freeze when I realize what he is barking at.

It was a man. Oh. sweet. Lord. I did not dare open the door for all I know he may be a serial killer on the loose. For once I don't watch the news, this has to happen to me. But I'm not one to assume things. He is wet from the pouring rain I just noticed.

"Please....help me" he called out...more like begged. His soft but strong masculine voice made me numb. "Please!" he called again. It was like I was compelled to do it but I managed to open the door for him. He stumbled inside and I gasped at how messed up he looked.

"Thank you" he said as he took a seat on one of the kitchen stools. His knuckles had dried blood on them and his hair was wet and messy. He had his back to me and I couldn't see his face.

"Who are you?" I questioned still worried about who he could be. He turned to face me and when I saw his face, I was dumb-struck. He had light-brown hair and green eyes that would melt any girl the second he looks at them. He would make Mr. Sanders seem like nothing compared to him. His masculine body and face shaped like that of a Greek God or was sent straight from heaven. I was literally swooning at the sight of him. I couldn't take my eyes away. Oh dear Lord save me.

"I'm Blake."
