"I forget what her laugh sounds like. She won't even talk to me. I split oceans for her, I was always there for her. Why won't she let me be there for her now? When her life is beyond repair? She's lost all hope and she throws me away? How could she? How could she? I've always been there for her! Always! I respected her desicion on shutting all of us out for months! FOR MONTHS! But I can't do it anymore, I can't sit back and watch her destroy herself over our mother's death." This comes from my big brother's mouth as he screams in my grandmother's living room to her. I sit, in what I now suppose is my room, with tears rolling down my face.

"Sweatheart, your sister doesn't have a family anymore. She hasn't talked to her father in years after he left her, you've left for years on end doing God knows what. Your little brother died with your mother. Her best friend killed himself. She has nothing. I understand why she feels the way she does. She doesn't talk to you because you were never there. She loves you more than anything but she can't talk to you." My grandmother says in a soothing voice, probably laying her hand on his shoulder.

"She needs to go back to school. Her education was everything to her. It will help her Grandma." My brother says in a now calm voice, "She's going. Tomorrow. We already set it up Jax." Grandma says and I frown upon this statement.

"Chris," I hear a knock on my door. "Christina lil bear." I give a half smile to the nickname he used to call me as a kid. I called him big bear after that. "Sweetie, please talk to me. I didn't want to leave you after it happened. But duty calls. I couldn't stay, I had another mission. I couldn't stay bear I couldn't and I'm so sorry for that. I cried every night I was gone. I sat, knowing how much pain you were in, and not being able to help you. God, Chrisy I'm so sorry." I can hear the tears falling from his eyes.

"Stop it." I whisper, loud enough for him to hear. "You're here, that's all that matters." I open the door and smile at him as he pulls me into a hug.

"LIL BEAR GET UP GET UP GET UP!! TIME TO GO TO SCHOOL." I groan as I get pushed off the bed. Yesterday after we made up we went out to eat for dinner and then came home and watched re-runs of Friends.

"What the fuck you prick!" I yell as I realize what just happen. Now I'm on the floor. I slowly get up as he leaves the room and head over to my closet. I pull out some ripped light skinny jeans and jump into them. Searching through my hundred shirts, I pick a crop top that says 'ew, people' on it and put it on. I head towards the bathroom and put some music on before doing my makeup and straightening my hair. Once I'm done, I walk back into my room and put on my black converse's.

"Breakfast!" My grandma yells so I walk to the kitchen. "It's nice to see you so happy, are you excited for today?" She asks.

"I think I'm more scared because no one likes me there but that's okay I don't care." I say in a very sarcastic tone.

"Oh please, every will be excited to see you. How's my boy Chase?" Jax comes in the room, "He texts me every day to see how I'm doing but I haven't seen him sense...sense you know." He nods his head. We eat in silence so I look at the clock, 7:00.

"JAX ARE YOU SERIOUS. IT'S ONLY SEVEN HOW DARE YOU!" He starts laughing and almost falls off his chair, "Leave me alone." I groan and walk into my room. Although I have time, I put everything I need into my bag and get ready to go.

"Chris. Chris. Chris." Jax comes running into my room and jumps onto my bed. "Your present came in." He says with a grin on his face, "My present? For  what?"

"I don't know? Starting school?" He shrugs and hands me a box. I open it and pull out a letterman jacket with a couple patches on it, but the one that stuck out was the varsity basketball patch. I knew that he wanted me to keep playing but I didn't do my summer camps or practice at all for the past months. I would let the team down and besides, I only started playing because of my best friend.
