amaranth
(n.) any plant of the genius
amaranthus, typically having small,
green, red, or purple tinted flowers;
an imaginary flower that never fades

Lydia and Allison pulled into the Martin's driveway, Scott, Stiles, Malia, Derek, Ethan, Danny, Cora, Isaac, Liam, Mason, Corey, Theo, and Jackson waiting for them. As Allison stepped out of the car, the majority of the friends waiting started to cry, tears of joy rolling down their face at the sight of their friend alive.

First she hugged Scott, then Isaac and Jackson, then Malia, Stiles and Derek and Cora, next was Ethan and Danny, lastly was Liam, Corey, Mason and Theo, who didn't know her but knew about her and felt as if they actually knew her from all that Scott, Stiles and Lydia have all talked about her.

Lydia came up beside the brunette and took her hand, Stiles being the first to notice, who then smiled and looked over at Theo, she got the message right away. Allison noticed the exchange, and she locked eyes with the boy, giving him a knowing look, then nodding her head to let him know that she supported him.

The lot of them spent the night hanging out and catching up, apparently Isaac and Jackson were engaged, and were going to be coming back to Beacon Hills for that, they said it was only fitting that they married in the same town that brought the two together. Allison found it rather romantic, she gave Lydia a loving look and a light squeeze of the hand as Jackson and Isaac talked about the wedding, and how Jackson wanted Lydia and Allison to be his best people, and Isaac wanted Scott and Stiles to be his best people, and they all said they would be honoured.

-

Allison and Lydia approached Deaton towards the middle of the party to find out how Allison was really back.

"So you want to know Allison is alive." He said as the two girls stood beside him.

"Yeah." Lydia replied.

"Well, your theory is right, Allison is your soulmate and that's why she's back, the world is rewarding you, but how she's back is a different story." Deaton explained carefully.

"Go on," Allison encouraged.

"Through Lydia's banshee abilities, her wishing to have you back brought you here, it was her who unknowingly brought you back through her abilities, and the more she believed you were alive, the more alive you would be, and the two of you kissing in Mexico sealed the deal, that kiss is what solidifies Allison being here on earth until she either dies of old age or another tragic accident, but Allison will most like die when Lydia dies, because her banshee powers would not be able to keep Allison alive anymore."

-

After a while, the amount of people surrounding Allison started to overwhelm her, so she took a step outside to get some fresh air and clear her head. As she looked up at the moon, she started to cry, not particularly out of sadness, but also not out of happiness, she didn't really know what emotion she was feeling, but it was a strong one.

"You alright, Hun?" Lydia asked as she sat down next to Allison on the patio.

"Yeah, it's just, i missed so much, it's only been a year, and I have missed so much of everybody's lives, I didn't even know Isaac and Jackson were a thing until a week ago, and now they're getting married, it's like no time has gone by because I can't remember the 'afterlife', but it feels like it has been so much longer than a year."

"Do you know what an amaranth is?" Lydia questions, Allison turns to her in confusion, this has no connection to what they had been talking about.

"No."

"You see, it's this flower, it comes from amaranthus, it usually small, and has red, green, or purple tinted flowers." Lydia explains.

"What does this have to do with anything?" Allison starts getting a little frustrated, where is Lydia going with this?

"It's an imaginary flower that never fades, be like and amaranth, Allison. Aesthetic like an immortal."
