Jungkook

Drifting ice.

That's what he saw, frozen water floating along a current.

Jungkook stared down from the balcony, looking at the icy lake below him. He was hypnotized by the way the chunks of ice floated next to each other, never touching.

That's when she walked into the bedroom, seeing the balcony doors open again, the familiar scene of Jungkook sitting at the edge, his back hunched and looking down.

"You shouldn't sit out here so long, you'll freeze." She said quietly, standing above Jungkook. He looked away from the lake for a moment and to her feet, seeing her wiggle her toes in her socks.

"But it's peaceful." He told her, looking up and meeting her gaze for a moment before looking back to the water.

She huffed, seeing her breath in the crisp air. "Then at least get a blanket or something." She badgered, nudging her knee into his arm a bit.

Jungkook didn't answer for a moment. Then, without taking his eyes off the lake, he pulled her down by her hand and into his lap, wrapping his arms around her.

"You are my blanket." He whispered, rocking her back and forth a little, hearing her huff again at his statement.

He continued to look down at the cold waters, starting to feel sleepy as she rubbed his arms lightly. Before sleep took over, he glanced at her, seeing the content look she had.

Unlike the ice, he wouldn't let her float away.
