Gold Grass

We have been driving on a deserted road for half a day or more. We found that we listen to basically almost the same songs and that T was a horrible driver, therefore, I switched with him.

The scene here is beautiful with its faded gold-colored tall grass stretching out for miles into the horizon against the perfectly sunny sky. "Yo! We're running of food stock! Let's stop by the nearest exit yeah?" Chase waved an empty Pepero box in the air.

"Chase, the nearest exit isn't for 57 miles," T was looking at a GPS. "We literally won't see anything but fields and sky for about an hour," he chuckled.

"Well that's too bad, I gotta go to the bathroom, like really bad," Liam clutched his crotch. T chuckled, "I'll stop at the side, go piss in the bushes".

I was driving for the next few hours. Mostly everyone fell asleep through the sound of the peaceful, but beautiful track that was playing. It almost urged me to fall asleep as well, but I knew better and continued driving.

We were out of state by dusk and when the moon started shining, we had reserved two motel rooms for the night. Stormy threw her suitcase into her room and jumped on the lofty bed.

"We can explore the place all night," Alie tied up her sleek blonde hair into a ponytail. "I heard the place is aesthetic".

"ALL night!?" I leave my suitcase open on the corner of the TV and the wall. "I was driving this entire time though". The bed hugs me from a long, exhausting day. I almost want to sleep for an eternity.

Before I knew it, Maya was waking me up from my supposed long nap. "Wake up, wake up, wake up!" she shook me. "You're gonna miss the fun!'

They gave me only five minutes to get dressed and get prepared to go where ever they were planning to go to.

The van drove off into deserted lands again, the purple-to-yellow dusk sky shone tiny stars. "Whoooo!" Stormy screeched as she stuck herself out a window. Then, she launched a firecracker into the sky. It exploded with a loud boom, scaring the crap out of me.

I was going to say how many laws that she just violated by that firing one firecracker, but I thought that it would spoil the fun. I let out a loud whoop as we traveled into the night.

Chase had fired another firecracker, scattering colorful fires up into the dark sky.  The fireworks were bright and pretty enough to make the stars jealous.

Then I looked at the faces around me, the light from the fireworks illuminating their faces. My friends were amazing enough to make the world jealous.
