It's now July 16th, I've casually walked on Far Cry Drive five times since two days ago hoping to see Ben but I haven't. I've been worried about an almost complete stranger. I knew his name, that's it, a name. As, I aimlessly roamed around Mellowburg my brain kept repeating Benjamin Tyler Ellar, to the point were I was almost flattened by an SUV that just happened to come around the corner without warning. After that my heart was racing and my brain was full of even more thoughts. I just kept running my feet knew were I was going but I didn't until I fell a few times and ended up at Ben's door, out of breath and my knees slightly scraped. I hesitantly knocked on the door and heard a something break and footsteps running around the house.
"GET THE DOOR YOU USELESS WASTE OF SPACE!" I heard as footsteps came to the door, I assumed it was his mother again. I became a little anxious as I waited a moment more and the door opened a bit.
It was the little boy I had saw the other day, his face had a small cut under his eye and a bruise on his cheek. his voice small and frail "Hello, who are you?"
I was taken back and I knelt down to seem less intimidating, "I'm Megan" All of a sudden my anxiety disappeared and I just cared hopelessly about this little boy and his brother I'm assuming.
He backed up a bit, "Are you here to take my mommy away? She doesn't hurt me! I just am clumsy.." His words trailed off "She's not home anyway"
I just wanted to hug him and tell him things would be alright, but I needed to not make him worry, "No, Is Ben here?"
He seemed a little on guard now, " No go away" and with that he closed the door in my face and I heard multiple locks close. I jumped a bit taken off guard by the sweet little boy turning into a hallow body.
Once, again I heard the screeching of the mothers voice "WHO WAS IT?" then a large bang I jumped a bit and my eyes got watery. I couldn't take it I began to run off but as I turned around and had impact with an object, to my reaction I screamed and my body went limp with fear and terror, so I began to fall.
The object witch I didn't identify yet grabbed me and went to the ground with me pulling me into a hug as a whimpered. The object then Identified as a human as I realized it was speaking to me in a soft calming tone.
"Shhh, it's okay, what's wrong" He pulled me in closer. I still cried a bit not taking notice to who yet was trying to comfort me.
After around two minutes, I was okay and I pulled away and looked up at the familiar face. He smiled and a rush plowed into me a feeling I've never felt. I hugged him tight again and stood up wiping my eyes "I'm sorry Ben, I was, I was just looking for you"
He smiled again "It's cool" It surprised me he didn't ask why I was crying, until I looked a bit closer at him and noticed a few scars on his neck and a bruise almost identical to his brother. He knew what I was looking at a turned a bit so I couldn't see it. "You okay? Why were you looking for me?"
I untwisted my shirt that was now in a bunch, and looked at his apartment door then back at him and he then changed the subject "So Megan, uhh here I'll give you my email, we can talk later" I was going to ask about a phone but it didn't look as though he would so I took his email.
"I'll email you later Ben" I hugged him a moment logger then I should have and jogged off looking back a bit.
His light seemed to diminish he turned to go back inside. Mine had already diminished the second I left the driveway.
