Jayfeather's Secret

The Beginning

Small drops of rain fell on Jayfeather as he was collecting herbs for his clan. He didn't mind a few drops. Cinderheart.. I can't stop thinking of you...

He picked up the catmint while thinking of Cinderheart
What are you thinking!? You're a medicine cat, and medicine cat's aren't allowed to mate! It's against the warrior code...

Jayfeather layed down the catmint and looked at the sky with his blind eyes
Then again, one can't stop the heart from loving... I love her so much

Jayfeather felt the drops of rain crash harder onto his pelt. Realizing that, he ran off as fast as he could to the camp, with a mouthful of herbs.
I better get to the medicine cat den before this rain plasters my pelt!

Jayfeather ran swiftly through the trees, jumping on every root and trying his best not to fall into a rabbit hole. As Jayfeather was running through the forest he suddenly fell into a fox burrow
Fox dung!

He got up angrily liking his fur to get the clumps of mud off his pelt and ran off again.
I don't care if my blindness interferes with me having the freedom to run freely.
He skidded past a tree
Then again if only I can have the ability to see, then that would make life much more easier instead of being an outcast most of the time.

Jayfeather remembered how hard it was for him when he was an apprentice to get to the mountains and save the tribe along with his siblings. Jayfeather slowed his pace as he realized he was close to the Thunderclan hollow . He padded towards the medicine cat den and scented Leafpool.

Jayfeather dropped the mouthful of herbs next to Leafpool and began helping her put the herbs in order.
Marigold..... Burdock.... Poppy seeds..... Chervil.....
It was silent until Leafpool broke it

" Jayfeather, do you remember what Burdock Root does? "
" Cures infection "
" Great job Jayfeather! "
" Thanks Leafpool " he smiled
" You know, I'm not an apprentice anymore. " he added
" I know, I just wanted to see if you haven't forgotten any of your herbs " Leafpool said smiling. After they finished putting the herbs in order, Leafpool went out to eat freshkill with her sister, Squirrelflight. Jayfeather was surprised when he heard a certain voice

" Hi Jayfeather! "
It was Cinderheart
"H-Hi Cinderheart! "
Cinderheart is so close to me, I can just kiss her and tell her I love her
" Do you have any new bedding for me? It's getting pretty old and I just want to replace it "
She has a soft voice... Not only that but she's noble, kind, a very intelligent she-cat, and loyal to her clan
" Jayfeather? "
Jayfeather snapped out of his daydream
" O-oh sure! I'll deliver it to you right away"
" Thanks Jayfeather! "
Did it look like I was staring?

Jayfeather nosed his way towards where the extra bedding was, grabbed it and padded towards the warriors den
" Cinderheart? "
" I'm right here Jayfeather! "
Jayfeather gave her the bedding, as she was putting the bedding down she padded up to Jayfeather
" Thank you very much Jayfeather, I really appreciated "
" Anytime Cinderheart, come to me if you need anymore! " Jayfeather paded out the warriors den
Why was she confused? She had a strange yet warm feeling
Jayfeather had the ability to see what others were feeling,

He padded towards the medicine cat den and saw Leafpool already asleep, Jayfeather padded lightly towards his nest (bedding) and plopped down in his nest he was so tired that he suddenly fell into a deep sleep.
