*shivers*
I'm really cold now.

I was pissed. Like the extreme level of pissed.

Also, I was cold. Very cold.

But in my defence, I had a valid reason for both of them.

After those idiotic friends of Ashford had surrounded me, they started insulting and mocking me. However, I remained silent as I knew that they overpowered me, obviously.

And then the fattest one amongst them was just about to punch my nose, when I heard laughter. Lots of it.

I opened my eyes nervously, searching for the source of laughter. It seemed to come from everyone, including Asher, who was rolling on the floor, clutching his stomach while laughing.

"You f-fell for it. Gods, that was hilarious." He managed to choke out. I glared at others, and they all pointed towards Asher, as if to say that it was all his plan.

And then I figured it out. They fooled me. Together. It was fucking plan.

I cannot tell you how embarrassed I felt. But more that that, I felt hurt. Under normal circumstances, I'd have crushed Asher's head by now, but this wasn't normal. I had developed a small liking towards Asher, which complicated a whole lot stuff.

All in all, I felt really hurt.

I stared at those imbeciles, laughing their ass off. I wanted to murder them all personally, but that'd be too violent for a peace loving girl like me.

"I'm leaving," I said loud enough for everyone to hear. Everyone seemed to be shocked by my reaction, as if they weren't expecting this.

Asher stopped laughing, everyone did. They just stared at me, without saying a word.

"Asher..." One of them began.

"Jess, hey, you're kidding, right?" Asher asked with a small, nervous smile, moving towards me slowly.

"You think I'm kidding?" I spat. His expression changed into a one of realisation.

"Jess, I didn't know-" Asher began but I cut him off.

"Save your excuses. I'm getting the fuck out of here." I declared and turned on my heels.

As soon as I locked the door behind me, I burst into tears. How could they? Even if it was merely a joke, I felt humiliated and hurt.

I quickly walked to the road, down the stairs and proceeded to walk home. I had already wasted money on a worthless guy whose name began with the cursed letter A.

"Jess, wait! I'm sorry, okay?" I heard Asher yell as he ran down the stairs of his apartment.

And tripped. Luckily, he tripped from the second last stair, so no serious damage done.

Thank Gods.

"Shit...this hurts." He murmured as he got up, dusting his clothes and hands.

"Definitely not more than you've hurt me." I muttered, wiping my eyes which were planning to do another water show. I saw Asher running towards me, maybe to say a lame speech about how sorry he was.
