The video I put is the song both me and Jessica love so please listen to it. It's good. And it's definitely not a waste of your precious Internet.

"I've been stranded on a lonely street.
Got lost in shadows,
Fell hard in the battle."

The song "My heart beats for love" by Miley Cyrus blasted through my earphones. This song describes my life just enough. I bobbed my head to the beat and before I knew it, I started singing along in a soft whisper.

"Her cries and the suffering.
Walked through the darkness,
Left broken and heartless."

This song is one of my favourites. I cried. I suffered. I walked through darkness alone. I was and am broken. I've lost all faith in humanity. It's gone. Like a second ago it was there, and now, it's not. And I do realise that I'm being so cheesy right now.

But hey, a person can be cheesy once in a while.

Before I could continue comparing my life with this beautiful song, someone tapped me on my right shoulder. Annoyed, I turned back looked towards the person who interrupted me from my karaoke.

I saw a pair of light blue eyes staring into my brown ones. A blue-eyed demon.

Asher.

And he heard my karaoke, I mean singing. My voice isn't as good as Miley, but I can beat a donkey at singing for sure.

"Uh, hi?" I said but it came out very awkwardly.

"You can come in now. By the way, your singing sucks," He said, not the slightest bit worried that his words might affect me and not in a good way.

Well, what do you expect from the guy who called me an A-class bitch the very first time we met?

"As said by Tywin Lannister, 'A lion doesn't concern itself with the opinion of the sheep.' Me being the lion and you being the sheep in case it isn't clear." I retorted back.

He was speechless.

Ah, the joy of leaving someone who thinks highly of himself speechless.

"So was it a success?" I asked, desperately hoping for a yes. He nodded.

"Yay! My best friend's got a boyfriend!" I said clapping my hands together like a retarded seal. No offence to retarded seal lovers.

"Whatever." He shrugged and went inside. Point for Jessica.

"Hey Cass!" I said, as I came skipping inside our apartment, excited.

"Hey Jess. Why're you so late today? Extra clients?" She asked, furrowing her eyebrows in confusion as she did the dishes. I looked at Asher silently asking whether I should tell her the truth or not. He just nodded and I took that as a yes.

Well, nodding can't possibly mean no, can it?

"Oh, no I wasn't late today. I had been told by your boyfriend to sit out and wait until you two are done with your couple stuff." I explained, emphasising on the word 'boyfriend'.

She looked at Asher who was sitting on a chair with her mouth hanging open. Then she quickly went and hugged him tight, while I just stared at them, feeling happy for her.
