~You finally figured it out, huh?~

Her lips quivered.

~The friends you knew are gone now...just like me. Their souls are GONE!~

A tear rolled down her cheek.

~It's too damn late. You can't save anyone now. They're all monsters. ...Just like the monster inside you that's dying to emerge.~

A sob escaped her gritted teeth.

It all happened just the day before

It all happened just the day before. Flashes of memories kept swarming around in Erza's head. Natsu's cruel words still poisoned her brain.

Oh, wait. No... that wasn't Natsu. Not anymore.

That was a Mind-Reader.

When Erza finally contacted Waichirou for assistance, he sent some of his other spies out to the marketplace to help capture the pink-haired Mind-Reader. The spies then stuffed him into a cell located in the organization's basement....

Erza never dared to go down there and check on him. Not after who--or what--she saw at the marketplace.

As Erza leaned on the balcony railing of the MRSA, her body still shook from the unforgettable events; how nastily her supposed friend spoke and how ice cold his glares were...

Those left an everlasting hole in her heart. 💔

~They're all monsters....~

Could it have really been true? Did every single hostage get turned into a Mind-Reader themselves? How? And why? Wasn't taking them away to begin with punishment enough? What did anyone ever do to deserve all this chaos?

The sun had just began to rise, giving the sky streaks of orange and pink. Rays beamed on the spy who refused to look up from the puddle of tears she left to roll down her arms.

She was an absolute mess.

She hadn't rested, nor showered since the incident. Bruises still tattooed her skin. Mildly tangled hair blew in the early morning breeze.

The spy who once thought she could stop all this madness had no clue what to do now.

No one did.

...

"How're you holding up?"

That voice... Erza was starting to get sick of it. She glanced over her shoulder.

 She glanced over her shoulder
