CHAPTER 01

Nasa school ground ako ngayon. May nakapasak na headphone sa tenga ko. Nag soundtrip habang nakasandal at nakapikit sa malaking puno ng Narra dito. Tanging hangin lang na natatama sa mga dahon ng puno ang naririnig ko at tugtog na nakaplay sa phone ko.

Isa sa mga paborito kong kanta ang Wildest Dreams ni Taylor Swift. Nagtatanong ba kayo kung bakit ako nandito? Late kasi ako sa first subject. First day of school pa naman. Transferee ako.

Habang dinadama yung mga hanging tumatama sa balat at buhok ko ay bigla akong napadilat nang napansing may nakatitig sa akin.

Tanaw ko yung lalaki sa di kalayuan. Nasa ikatlong palapag siya ng building nila. Nakapwesto siya sa may bintana na mismong katapat naman nitong pwesto ko.   

Tinitigan niya nga ako pero walang emosyong nakikita. Di nagtagal siya iyong unang umiwas saktong nagbell na para sa second subject kaya tumayo na ako at nag ayos sa sarili ko para pumunta sa room ko. Senior high student na ako. Hindi ako 4th year student. Magkaiba ang 4th year sa Senior High. Ganito kasi ang term ng Aqua Academy. After mag 1st year hanggang 4th year ay Senior High muna bago college.

Yan yung nakalagay sa taas ng pinto. Eto na nga iyon.

Kahit kinakabahan ay kumatok ako nang tatlong beses. May bumukas ng pintuan. Isang nasa mid 30's na babae. Naka eyeglass siya at naka high bun ang buhok. Miss Minchin? Ikaw ba yan?
