Freezer Burn(finally completed)

Part 1: The Test Run

I was only 6 years old at the time, when my brother and my dad went missing. It was a quiet night, quieter than normal to me, like I knew something wrong was going to happen that night. It was pitch black outside, you could barley see down the street,the only thing that was lighting the street up was the lamp post nearby. I was up in my room, and my parents were down stairs. My mom was in the kitchen and my dad in his small lab room. I decided to come down stairs, I was getting bored in my room upstairs. "Mom, I'm bored". I said. "Well, what can we do to entertain that little mind of yours sweetheart". Said my mom as she got down to my level. "I want to go see what daddy is doing". I said to my mother. "Oh, honey, I don't know if he wants anyone in there, he has very important stuff in there". My mom told me as she grabbed both my hands. "I promise I won't touch anything mommy, pleeeaaasse". I begged my mom to take me to my dads lab. "Fine, but after lets watch a movie ok, then bed time". Okay I said very happily to go. We walked over to our garage door and opened it. My dads lab was in the next room that had to be entered through the garage. We both knocked on the door and opened it. "Hey there, my little bunches of oats". Said my dad as I ran to him and he picked me up. I laughed as I ran to his arms and hugged him as he put me on his lap.

"I'll leave you two alone". My mom said as she walked out.

"What are you working on daddy". I asked him. I saw I weird cylinder with four small metal bars around it, it was filled with this fluxiating purple-ish liquid. "Did you here what I said Gray"? Said my father. "What is that daddy". I asked him again. "That my dear is the future of the human race and all matter as we know it" replied my dad. "What does that mean" I asked my dad. "Sadly your to young to understand honey, but when your older you might". My dad told me as I listened to him.

"I wanna watch a movie with you daddy". "Oh honey, I can't, I have to do more work ok". My dad said to me as he put me down. "Oh, well I'm gonna go watch a movie with mommy". I told him with my hands on my hips. "Ok bunchs, bye bye". He chuckled as I walked out. I walked out of the garage and into my living room where my mom was sitting on the couch watching the news.

"Where's Aaron mommy". I asked her. "Remember he went out with his friends. I went to sit down beside my couch when my dad walked in to the living room. "I have to go to work guys, bye". We didnt even notice he left the house. About ten minutes later we here a sound. KABOOM! We were still watching the news and turned it up after we heard it. "Breaking news at Arbor City Labs as we just heard a big boom from inside,apparently when they did a test run of a dark matter accelerator to speed up the process of somthing they were testing,we don't know what, when somthing went wrong during the process of this and now has made people go missing go missing". As the reporter said urgently. As soon as she had finished my mom got a call from Aaron. She answered it and went to the kitchen to talk. I went to the door and stepped on to our porch and looked across the city and saw a giant fire over at Arbor City Labs, and I soon realized that my father was gone, gone forever. But my question was now, where is my brother. I went back into the living room to find my mom crying. "Whats wrong mommy". I asked her. "Its your brother, i was talking to him and his phone cut off. No one knows where he is". I went and sat next to my mom and comforted her. I knew from that point on everything would change.
