His hand slowly caressed up your thigh, your cheeks flushed. "Shawn.."

You were sitting in the back of Shawn's car in the middle of the night on a school night. This was not like you at all, to sneak out with the guy you're forbidden from seeing, the guy that everyone hated. You were the good girl, high grades, volunteering, you were perfect. Shawn was different, he was the bad boy and it thrilled you. He smirked and kissed your neck softly.

"My angel." He whispered softly which made your skin become covered with goosebumps.

He had an effect on you that you had no else had. You cuddled into him and inhaled his scent of cigarettes, mint gum and his cologne, it was your favorite smell, it was intoxicating.

"I wanna run away with you." You spoke whilst running your hand through his hair, he laughed until he realized that you weren't joking.

"Angel.. I could never let you do that, you have so much hope I don't want you to throw away because of me."

You sighed, Shawn knew himself too well for you to even try and change his mind, but it broke your heart when he spoke badly about himself.

"Shawn you're-"

He cut you off "don't say it, I mean it (Y/N). " His voice became harsh, "I'm not like you, or your friends okay?"

You took his hand in yours and ran your fingers across his scarred and bruised knuckles from countless fights and arguments he has gotten into.

"I should take you home." He broke the silence.

"Shawn I love you." He looked at you, shocked, like a deer in headlights.

It was something you knew he had never heard, and the first time he heard it was from you.

He shook his head no, "no.. no you don't."

"Yes I do. Please trust me like I trust you. I love you with all my heart." You kissed his cheek and smiled.

"You don't because you shouldn't be in love with me, no one loves me angel you know this .. " He felt frustrated because for the first time in his life he was feeling love, trust, and hope.

You were his person and he was scared of losing you, and you were just as scared of losing him.
