I would like to distinguish the difference between thoughts and opinions. This may seem entirely pointless to some but I feel this warrants my address. Essentially an opinion is outlook of something based on some form of knowledge, be it logic or experience. In order to acquire knowledge you must live, learn or be taught which is a process that takes time. Knowing this it becomes apparent that it should take a "while" to form an opinion. It is something that should be well thought out. Through this process an opinion becomes almost a "personal truth". When something becomes a "personal truth" it is something you firmly hold and mostly will not change on a whim and or spontaneity. A thought is a brief idea formed from short-term thinking based mostly on recently acquired ideas or concepts.

These are often forgotten, abandoned, changed or kept. It will somehow influence your thinking in one way or another, allow me to explain. When something is forgotten it may be thought about later or lost forever. When it is abandoned, it is usually because it was "corrected", is no longer needed or not relevant. When it is changed it will go through this process again in which it may be changed as many times as the individual's point of view is shifted. When it is kept for substantial period of time that becomes an opinion. In addition to this, when an opinion no longer has your absolute belief it becomes a thought once again. Opinions that are in question (faith or memory) are not firm enough to be considered opinions and maybe become a forgotten, abandoned, changed or kept.
