Darkness creeps into a household slowly, but then suddenly all at once.

At first, you notice the shadows begin to form.  The colors become more faded.

Now, it's starting to become harder to see.

Light on.

You can see better, so it's okay.

But then you look back outside, and now you can barely make out the details of the world.  A roughly barked tree with vibrant leaves that once reflected the light from the Sun are now a mere black silhouette, signifying and reflecting nothing.

You turn your attention back to your own household and begin to notice how every figure's color has faded.  Every piece of furniture that once appeared welcoming and offered you comfort now appears dull and backbreaking.  The smiles in the pictures suddenly reveal the pain behind them.

Back outside, it's pitch black.

Back inside, a single light hopelessly tries to bring life back to the now darkened household.

It is hopeless though.  The darkness has now completely consumed the household, and not even that one light can combat it.

But remember, the Sun will come up again, and dispel the darkness.
