Howl Of The Werewolf

Chapter 5

After alot of arguing between Jane and Leo, Logan finally showed up ,when she came she was flying literally, she had a pair of pearl white wings that looked like they sparkled in the sunlight when she came down to earth she and Leo shared a kiss then Jane started talking about tactics I wasn't paying attention I felt really strange I could smell something and I didn't like it , it wasn't a very nice smell at all suddenly I heard "nick!!..nick!!!!"

"what"I said coming out of my thoughts

"what's wrong"asked Jane

"I thought I could smell something"I said

"in what direction"she asked

"that way"I said pointing in the direction it smelt strongest

"ok I'll check it out"she said walking in the direction I had pointed.

We waited for half an hour , waiting for her to come back when she didn't I stood up and said "I'm gonna go looking for her"

"we'll come with you"said Logan sounding a little scared we headed toward the bush's when we got to the spot Jane had disappeared we looked down and saw, Jane laying there unconscious with a purple flower in her hand, we dragged her out of the bush and into the clearing ,Logan picked up the flower "block you'r nose's" she said"it's wolfbane" leo's jaw dropped I was confused

"what's wolfbane"I asked

"it's a dangerous flower for werewolves 1 sniff and you will pass out ,but what's confusing is why Jane would sniff it she knows what wolfbane is"said Logan looking worried.

I'm lying awake not able to sleep knowing that Jane is still unconscious I started listening into Leo and logans conversation "could it have been suicide"Logan asked

"looks like it"said Leo

"but why she has what she wants a boyfriend some friends and she always loved life"she said

"I know"he said"it just doesn't add up" I stopped listening at that point I didn't want to hear anymore ,I laid there for awhile waiting for sleep to come. There was a sudden ear piercing scream I woke with a start I sat up and looked around startled, Logan and Leo were holding Jane down as she struggled violently, I hurried over to see what was going on when I realized it wasnt Logan and Leo at all one of them was Jared and the other one I didn't recognize I walked back slowly they hadn't realized I was awake yet I woke Logan and Leo up quietly and as quietly as we could me and Leo changed form and Logan unfolded her wings , me and Leo ran at Jared and i ran and pinned the girl, to my atoshiment the girl laughed "I see I made the right choice in changing you"she said smiling deviously

"what?!?"I said she took advantage of me being distracted and formed wolf while kicking me in the gut making me go half way across the clearing and hit a tree, I laid there in pain I felt someone come up to me and started to help fix any wounds I might of had ,I opened my eyes to see what was going on I had 3 people trying to help me but I only recognized one of them and that was Jane "just sit still" she said i started to calm down i looked around me and notice that there loads of wolves all of them fighting i stood up noticing they where finished fixing me up "are you ok" jane asked

"i'm fine" i said we started fighting a couple of wolves who had ran at us we fought side by side after a while the wolves backed of a little and it became a stare down we growled and they growled back then i realized i didnt even know what side they where on then i was attacked from behind and i could feel the claws dig into my back i howled in pain i threw the wolf that had attacked me off of my back and realized it was the grey one with the lightening bolt mark from its eye the one who had changed me i growled "i give you an exciting new life and this is how you repay me" she said i ran at her and swiped at her i got her cheek she growled and snapped at my neck she got the back of my neck and threw me across the field my head hit a tree and I passed out.

I slowly opened my eyes my head pounding above me where the two girls that helped heal my wounds the night of the fight one had chocolate brown eyes and long orange hair tied back into a plait and an older girl with blond hair and pale blue eyes "where's Jane" I asked looking around me the orange haired girl looked at the older one the older one nodded "she died in the fight the other night" she said all I heard were the first two words and then I went blank my mind couldn't comprehend that she was gone I got and rushed out of the tent "were are you going" called the younger I ignored her and kept running and running until I stumbled upon were the fight had taken place and there in the middle of it was janes body I ran over and knelt down beside her body and just.. cried I sat there for awhile until I noticed her neck was covered in blood and there where huge bit marks then I had a flashback of the dream I had when I was first turned into a werewolf I was furious I turned wolf and ran as fast as I could I ran when a flash of grey caught my eye I followed it and sure enough it was the grey wolf I pounced on her and after a few minutes of fighting I pinned her there was fear in her eyes she knew what I was about to do "don't kill me!!!" she screamed

"why should" I said lunging my teeth into her neck and ripping her throat out she was dead and I was a monster a beast a killer I ran angry and disappointed with myself I ran back in the direction I came and stopped just outside of camp I laid there sore, angry and upset all at once I laid there for hours not moving "are you alive" I heard a curious voice say

"no" I moaned

"well" she said " I'll have to feed this sandwich to the rats"

"ok maybe I am alive I" said changing form and sitting up the girl with the brown eyes and orange hair sat down next to me and handed me a sandwich I choked on it "don't you like chicken" she asked

"no" I said "I'm not used to it being cooked"

"yeah you get used to raw meat after awhile" she said

"sorry" I said in-between bites "I didn't catch you'r name"

"amber" she said "and you"

"nick" I said
