~6 months later~
Levi sat curled up on the couch. His soft grey knit sweater hung loosely on his slender frame. The sleeves covered his hands that held a steaming cup of tea. Even though it was winter, there was no snow. The weather was very nippy. Levi had his eyes fixed on the tv. Hanji started to make racket in the kitchen, clearly trying to cook something."Oi! Four-Eyes!" Levi raised his voice slightly. "Huh?" Her head popped around the corner. There was flour in her hair and on her glasses. "Keep it down will ya? I'm trying to watch my show." Hanji just sighed. "I'll try, Levi." Levi looked back to the tv. His show was an anime about a Japanese ice skater whose career took a bad turn. Another Russian skater, with several gold medals, became his coach. Together they're succeeding in reviving the Japanese skater's career. Soon enough the woman started to make racket again. Levi groaned. "Hanji I'm getting coffee!" He yelled to her before grabbing his coat and marching out the door. Just as he suspected, a blast of cold air hit him. He shivered before pulling the heavy coat on and buttoning it. He pulled his hat and gloves from his pockets and put those on as well. Levi made his way to Main Street to go to the little coffee shop. He had discovered that he loved the smell of coffee and the many pastries that were baked fresh daily.
---
Stepping inside from the cold air, he inhaled the smell of fresh cakes. Luckily, there was no line. He walked up to the counter. "What can I get for you today?" The blonde boy from behind the counter spoke. He had a cheerful aura about him, and sparkling blue eyes. His name tag read 'Armin'. "Um..." Levi was looking up at the menu to decide what he wanted when the bell on the door jingled. "A vanilla cappuccino if you will." Levi decided. Armin quickly rang up the coffee. "4.63$" Levi handed the blonde a 5$ bill. He turned to sit down and almost ran into a taller man. "Hey, watch--" Levi looked up into his ocean blue eyes. "S-sorry!" The man stuttered. "I should really watch where I'm going..." "N-no...it's alright." Levi smiled, for once in a long time. The ocean-eyed man ran his hand through his already ruffled brunette hair. "I'm Levi." He held his hand out and the man shook it. "Eren." "Nice to meet you Eren." Levi stepped around him and sat at a table by the window. He was lost in thought when he heard a voice. "Is this seat taken?" Levi looked up. It was Eren. "Not at all." Eren sat down. Levi noticed a slight pink tint to his cheeks. He had to admit...Eren was handsome.
---
Levi marched into the house, happier than usual. "Someone's unusually chipper. What happened when you were out?" Hanji asked. "It's nothing. Really." Levi dropped his coat by the door. He pulled off his boots and they fell to the floor with a thump. His mind was full of thoughts of the ocean-eyed man.
