“Do you like any of the songs we’re hearing right now, Ryle?” my friend Robin asked.

Robin and I were in my room and she was showing me some songs she really likes.

“Who sings it?” I asked.

“Um…Justin Bieber…” she paused. “It’s called All that matters.”

The song had a good beat and sounded like an oldies song.

“I like it…”

“Now hear this one…”

She went on to her laptop, and I could hear her fingers move rapidly on the keyboard.

The song began by singing:

“Remember the first time I saw you in the crowd, looking me up and down; checking me out. Slipped you my number and you promised you would dial. And, from that moment I can’t get enough of your smile. All I ever do is think about you. Every time I dream I dream about you. I know there are times when you’re alone…”

I liked the song a lot and also the singer.

“Who sings that?” I interrupted the singer.

“Oh, this band called Mindless Behavior the songs called Ready for love.” She explained.

I nodded and kept on listing to the song.

“Okay, I’m in love with this band!” I shrieked. “Put another song about them…”

Robin did as she was told and put the song “Your Favorite Song” I loved it too because it had so much energy.

Robin and I stayed there for hours, then we made some cookies it was hard but fun. We also danced, watched a movie, well technically her! She explained to me everything that was going on.

The show went on to commercial, I stayed quiet.

“If you or a loved one are blind or can’t see very well. Pick up the phone and call us now! Because scientist discovered a way to cure them! You can get surgery for 300 dollars today! But wait there is more! If you call in right now the prize will get lowered to 150 dollars! Just call 1-800-”

I froze, I heard from my right somebody dialing.

“What are you doing?” I asked concerned.

“I’m going to call in!” Robin explained.

“What?” I asked getting up from where I was sitting.

“Yes, hello! Yes, I just saw your commercial….uh huh…okay…yeah her name is Ryle Jefferson…no problem… what? Oh, okay. Thank you….no thank you….okay bye-bye.” Robin said into the phone and hung up.

“What they say?” I asked, feeling nervous.

“They said we can go on their website, Bright way.” She explained.

I nodded.

“Let’s go on it girls!” my mom said.

“Mom…?”

“That’s right sweetie, now let’s go on line!” she yelled, she grabbed my arm and took me to the kitchen.

I heard her take out my laptop and I could hear her fingers clacking on the keyboard.

“Here it is…” my mom said.

“Well…” I mumbled.

“All I have to do is sign in and put in all our information and we’ll be on the waiting list tomorrow!” my mom explained.

I took a deep breath. Was this really going to happen to me? Was I finally going to see? This is God right here. I mean I finally will get to see all the colors, all they beauty people see every day! I was so overwhelmed I felt like I was going to cry.

“Awe! Ryle you don’t have to cry!” Robin, coed giving me a hug and rubbing my back.

“W-What if it doesn’t work out?” I sniffled.

Robin grabbed me by my shoulders, and I bet she made me try to look at her. “You’ll never know, just don’t give your hopes up okay Sky?” she said.

I smiled, she always called me Sky. Sky is my middle name. Ryle Sky Jefferson was my whole name.

I couldn’t go to sleep. Ryle kept coming to my head. Maybe I could change my attitude. Maybe I could be a better person. Not being a jerk.

I mean maybe she can teach me how to. But I doubt she will. I wouldn’t see her anyways; I’m done being her helper. But I’m also done being a jackass.

I got up from my bed, stepping on to the floor made me waddle a little, but I didn’t lose my balance.

In the kitchen I grabbed the orange juice out of the fridge and took a red cup as well pouring myself a drink.

“Master Keidran, what are you doing awake?”

I turned around and Henry was sitting on the table drinking tea.

“I just felt a little thirsty.” I replied.

I put the juice away and sat down with Henry. Henry was like a father figure to me, after my dad passed away a couple of years ago.

“What’s the matter Keidran?” he asked, in his British accent.

I sighed heavily. “I don’t know Henry.” I took a small sip of my juice and looked directly at Henry.

“Is it that girl Ryle, sir?”

I smiled slightly, and nodded my head. “Yeah, you know she told me…” I trailed of explaining him what she explained to me.

“Wow, you now Keidran, Ryle has a bright future. She is really smart, talented, and pretty.” He sighed.

“How do you know she’s pretty?” I asked smirking, taking another sip of my juice.

“You can’t fool me Keidran. I know you like her because when you’re with Sam you’re always in a bad mood with the whole world but this week you have been…so nice to everybody lately. As is somebody took you to the Brightside of this world.” He chuckled.

“I guess your right Henry…but can I tell you something.” I said kneeling forward on the table.

“Of course, master.” He said.

“I want to change to be a better person. I want to be the old me.” I explained.

Henry sighed and smiled. “Yes, after your fathers passing I guess you took it the hardest.”

“But I don’t know how…” I mumbled looking down at the see through table.

“Get that girl Ryle and simply spend time with her.”

“It’s not that easy…” I mumbled again.

“Nothing in life is easy.” He explained getting up from the chair and taking the empty tea cup to the sink. “Good night master Keidran!” he called out leaving me alone in the kitchen.

I finished up my juice headed back upstairs, and I knew I was needed to call or get in contact with Ryle.

“Today was the last day.” I mumbled covering myself up with my blankets.

Like! Do you guys think I should go on?
