I go to bed shortly after Johanna leaves the room. The first thing I do is to think about Jer. He is so handsome. I've never thought about it before, because I've never needed to express my feelings towards him. I take a shower and let the hot water wash away all the makeup and all the emotions from earlier. I don't want to think about the kiss even though I know that I have to face the situation later

I dream about home. The sweet forest in district. I'm there with Jeramy. He looks at me and smiles. I feel the weight of a ring on my finger. Maybe we are married or engaged? I don't know, or don't care. He hands me some flowers and kisses me. The feel of his lips on my lips feels fur military and safe. It feels like they belong there.

"Rose." He says and looks at me

"Rose." He says again

"ROSE!" I wake up, and hear the knocking on the door. Jeramy stands outside the shiny Capitol bedroom.

"Good morning." Johanna says as I step into the dining room of our apartment. The apartment tributes from district 7 has used every year.

"Training today." Jeramy says and shoves some egg into his mouth. The food smells delicious.

"Yeah, do we have a plan?" I ask Johanna and look at her.

"Show them what you can do." She says, but she doesn't meet my eyes.

"Don't do it the same way that I did. I didn't get any sponsors, and I almost died of it." She looks up and she looks 5 years older than she is.

"But you won." I protest.

"Yeah and I suffered, I can't tell you anything more, but you won't have anyone left that loves you." I know that there must be a deeper meaning, but I don't ask her anymore questions. I just sit down besides Jeramy and start to eat.

After an hour of eating more than I have ever managed before we walk to the elevator and take it down to the basement. Johanna takes the elevator with us, because she doesn't want any of me and Jeramy's kissing sessions around, but takes it up again as we reach the lower floor. I have never seen a room this big in my life. The basement is a big floor with a sword fighting arena, a place you can practise with a trident, or practise with a target. Anything to do with fighting. There is even a swimming pool and a fake forest in one end.

"Welcome." A lady says as we step into the circle of tributes.

"This will be your first day of training"
