Sammy's POV
*sigh.* Sometimes I wonder why Joey hates me so much. I wish I had my twin. For those who don't know, I was going to be a twin. But she was never born. My little brother is Joseph, Joey for short. And he hates me. No joke!
I don't know why? I think I'm a good sister. I play with him, I ride horses with him, and I even babysit him and give him mac and cheese for dinner!
Joey had just stormed out of my room, his iPad clutched in his hand.
"I don't wanna play Minecraft!" I screamed after him, "plus I have school!" I tied on my white heavy winter boots and zipped up my long black winter jacket.
"Your an idiot Samantha!" He screamed back.
"Who made honor role!" I skipped downstairs, my red winter hat covering my long blonde hair.
"Byyyyeee mama! Bye daddy!" I stepped out into the cold white snow covered world leaving footprints as I raced to my bus.
I hopped on the heat rushing to my face. "Sammy! Sit here!" My best friend Baylie called. I sprinted to her side and plopped in the leathery seat.
"Hi!" I said in a baby-voice.
"Sammy big girl voice!" She said in an adult-voice.
"Okay okay so, last day before Christmas vacation and we're not doing anything in school! How exciting!"
"Yah! I'm going to eat food!"
"Of course you are..." I smiled at my blonde headed friend, her blue eyes sparkled every sentence as we chatted up a storm.
Once the bus slowed to a stop we raced out to the school me loosing, obviously, but Kat won. Though she wasn't even racing....or on the bus?
"Kat! How'd you know we were racing?" I asked, she smiled at me proudly and superiorly.
"I saw running, I sprinted," she stated patting my head. "So, still wish your twin was born?"
"Yah, Joey hates me even more..."
"Don't worry Sammy he'll come around!" Baylie chuckled messing up my hair. I pouted as I caught in the corner of my eye cider donuts and hot chocolate. So I sprinted to the table.
Baylie's POV
Kat and I laughed and followed after her. Kat and Sammy attacked the stuff while I just sat alone. I sighed.
Then some random boy I've never seen came up to me.
"Hey there. I'm Ian. I'm new to this school but I couldn't help but notice you seemed lonely." Ian said. I nod.
"I'm Baylie, nice to meet you Ian. But yes, I am lonely." I said, turning to face him, smiling softly. He returned it.
"Well, not anymore." He said, being cheesey.
"You're so cheesey." That's when we both laughed and took in each other's appearance. He was wearing a black tux with a red tie. He had short black hair and was tan.
What a coincidence, that he matched me."You're beautiful. You know that, right?" He asked. I shook my head and laughed breathly.
"Thanks, but no. I'm far from beautiful." I said, looking down at my arms.
"Not your outside, Baylie. I mean, that too, but your personality. Most girls here have already hit on me. But mostly that one." He explained, pointing at the Barbie doll.
"Oh, the Barbie doll. Of course." I said, smirking. He chuckled.
"Is that what you call her? Oddly enough, it's true. She is legitimately a walking Barbie doll." He responded, smiling. He grabbed a piece of paper from the table, for voting king and queen winter, and crumpled it up.
He took aim and chucked it at Barbie. She got hit by it and screamed.
We held back our laughter until Kat and Sammy looked this way. Then we couldn't hold back anymore.
We burst out into laughter and they walked to us.
"Wow Baylie! I didn't know you had it in ya." Kat teased, sitting down, Sammy followed.
"I don't. Ian does though. Ian, Kat, Sammy. Sammy, Kat, this is Ian." I introduced them. They nod.
"Nice to meet you. Can I guess some things about your convo?" Kat asked. I stared wide eyed at Ian and shook my head.
"Yes, of course." He said, leaning his head on his hand.
"She was sitting alone." He nodded. "You came over, introduced yourself, said you were new and that she looked lonely." He nodded again.
"She said her name, agreed to being lonely and you sat down."
"Yup."
"You were cheesey, saying something like not anymore." This time, I nodded.
"Looked at each other, you called her beautiful." He nodded and I sighed.
"She thanked you, disagreed. You called her different after explaining what you meant. You explained the Barbie doll situation, threw the paper, and here we are." She said.
"Exactly." He said, smiling. I glared at Kat, telling her not to continue.
"Kat, don't." Sammy said.
"But I like seeing her upset." She whispered in Sammy's ear, but I heard.
"Sometimes I wonder if you were ever my friend!" I yelled and ran off. To the one place where I can be myself.
