💔💔💔💔💔

"I'm going out. Don't go in my room."

That seemed to be the max of their conversations, other than Caspar telling him to make food or clean something.

Joe got married because he thought that maybe he would stop having to keep doing things for others and never get time for himself. Turns out his married life is exactly the same.

Joe was tired as fuck and just wanted to sleep. He knew he should stay up and wait for Caspar but his eyes just wouldn't agree. He switched off the T.V (which he wasn't supposed to be using anyway) and pulled his old, holey blanket out from under the couch.

He wished that he could just share the room with Caspar, even sleeping on the floor was better than this lumpy old couch. But he didn't really have a say in that so he just turned over.

💔💔💔💔💔

He was having a quiet and peaceful sleep for once, that is until someone pushed him off the couch.

"Get up I have friends over. Go downstairs or something. Or just leave. I don't really care."

Joe just rubbed his eyes.

"You asshole, did you not hear me? Get up! Leave or go downstairs, I don't care. Just get out of this room."

Joe peered around Caspar to see a hoard of girls and boys waiting by the door. One of the boys made eye contact with him and frowned.

Caspar grabbed his arm and yanked him up.

"Go sleep downstairs or something just don't go in my room." Caspar hissed in his ear as he shoved him towards the stairs.

So there Joe sat, alone in a room without a bed, with music pounding through his skull, and he knew that he wouldn't be able to sleep tonight.

💔💔💔💔💔

"Who was that you sent downstairs last night? When did you get a roommate?"

"He's no one important. I got married to him a month or so ago."

"And he's not important? You are literally going to spend the rest of your lives together, and that's not important?"

"I'm divorcing him soon as possible, I'm planning on proposing to Gaby soon."

Joe silently sighed. He walked up the stairs. He waved softly to show Caspar that he was here.

"What would you like for breakfast?" He asked, hoping to heavens above that Caspar doesn't get angry at him.

"The usual." Caspar responded without turning around.

"And you...?" Joe questioned.

"Oli, and I'll make something that's okay." Oli responded.

"Oli he said he'll make it now tell him what you want." Caspar stated sharply.

"Okay. Just toast and jam is okay for me. Do you need any help?"

Joe just shook his head. He trailed delicately into the kitchen. He took out a pan and the blender, just as Caspar stepped outside to take a call. It was the same thing every day, Joe got used to it after awhile.

"So how is it like being married and living with THE Caspar Lee?" Oli asked, after following Joe into the kitchen.

He just shrugged. To be honest, he didn't know. Caspar was never home, and even when he was, he was forced to do work for him, not get to relax himself.

"Hey. you can talk to me. I won't hurt you okay?" Oli took a step closer to him. Joe flinched. Hard.

"Has Caspar ever? Has he ever physically hurt you?" Joe shook his head. "Then why did you flinch?"

Joe sighed. "My parents died when I was about two. My sister and I were in the orphanage circuit for a while, until this family adopted us when I was six. They loved my sister Zoe, but for some reason, they hated me with a passion. They stopped treating me like a person and from when I was eight till two months ago they treated my like I was their slave, which I was basically. They abused me too. It hurt a lot and I just don't want to go through that again. I'm not really sure what to expect from Caspar. He doesn't seem to like me at all, which is understandable. But I sleep on the couch. It's the most uncomfortable place to sleep. But he won't let me sleep on the bed with him or even on the floor in his room."

"Don't you guys only have one bedroom with a bed in it? Where do you keep all your stuff? Why is it only his room?"

"He said he didn't want to share with me. I don't have much stuff anyways so I keep it in the suitcase behind the coffee table. It's fine. Don't worry about me."

💔💔💔💔💔

Caspar and Oli sat at the dining table as Joe slowly brought out food. Waffles and eggs, orange juice and grapefruits. There was so much on the table, it was hard to believe that Joe cooked it in less than half an hour.

But Caspar didn't say anything. He just looked down and shoveled food into his mouth.

Joe's smile slowly slipped to a frown. Oli looked up and saw Joe looking at Caspar really sadly, and he wanted him to be happy because he been through a lot.

"This is really good Joe! You should cook more often!"

But Joe just smiled and went downstairs.

It was on the ride back to his place that he realized that Joe didn't eat a thing.

💔💔💔💔💔

Someone knocked on the door. Joe expected it to be Gaby so he didn't bother opening the door, the last and only time he did that Caspar almost hit him.

"JOE! OPEN THE FUCKING DOOR!"

Okay, so it was safe to say it wasn't Gaby out there. So Joe did as he was told, he opened the door.

There stood Caspar's parents. With a mattress. (Joe silently hoped that it was for him.)

Caspar came thundering up the stairs. "Who the fuck, I swear to god, Joe you better not ha- Oh hi mom and dad."

They walked in. They explained that they were going to stay with them for a few days, just to see how the match was working. It wasn't. There was nothing to see. But still, Joe nodded. Caspar, on the other hand just huffed and went downstairs.
