Chapter One: How We Came To Be

A/N: This is my first story I have written and I hope you like it. Some of things are based off my life and some things are made up:)

This is the story of how I got my best friends. But first here is a little bit about me. My name is Julie Gonzalez, and I am 18 years old.I'm Hispanic. I live in Chicago, IL. My best friends are twins, fraternal twins, Adela is the oldest, and Alicia is two minutes younger, making her the youngest of the two. And for me, I'm the youngest of the group, and I am an only child. And this is how we met, I had just moved from Los Angeles to Chicago; I was three.

The day I moved to my house, Adela and Alicia were having their 4th birthday. I remembered that I was daydreaming, all of a sudden I heard a very sweet voice, and I looked up, and I saw a lady in her early 30s. She said, "Hola Ma'am my daughters are having a birthday party, and they wanted to know if you would let your daughter come over? My name is Esperanza and yours?"

My mom said, "Oh si she can go and my name is Sofia." So my mom told me to go into a complete strangers house! I went to go get dressed in my best green and yellow sun dress. So when I walked in, I saw so many people. And for a young girl , I was quite nervous. Until two girls came up to me and said, "Hi".

Of course, I said "Hi" back because that was the polite thing to do. The two girls started talking in English, and I really didn't know how to speak English too well so I tried my best. The two girls asked me to eat with them so I did. All three of us ended sitting at a green little table. And we were served chips and as we were getting seated the girls said their names. The girl with the bob style haircut went first, "Hi, my name is Alicia," she said quite confident, and this is my sister Adela", she also said. Once their parents put the chips on the table, we started to eat them. Their parents called all of us to take a picture so we all got up. Once we finished, we sat back down at the little green table. I was eating my chips until Alicia said, "Hey, those are my chips." In my head, I thought these are my chips I got the Sun Chips. But I looked and saw I had Cheetos.

" Umm...sorry, I think I might have took your chips." Her sister Adela pointed out that my chips were on the floor. After that we all started laughing. Then we started playing babies and my mom came to pick me up.

Yup, this is how we became best friends. Tomorrow is going to be our first day of school, we are going to be seniors.
