The echo flowers whispered in the air as sans walked past them. So many echo flowers with chilling words made sans shiver considering most of them were his words. He wasn't feeling fine like normal due to another time line reset. He felt like hope had finally been drained out of him.
Sans looked up at the rocky ceiling with stones that shimmered like stars in the night. No one was around this part of the underground, it was night and only Sans went this far out by the echo flowers and the water fall. He felt home here. No one to tell him what to do, no one to tell him what he was feeling, no one to care, and no one to bug him. Sans loved it all.
It was quiet besides the waterfall sounds and the random words of the echo flowers. When you looked out, you could see a path that showed the kingdom and a lake.
Sans walked around and sat by an echo flower beside a waterfall. The echo flower hummed along with the water fall until it noticed Sans was there and said,
   "I give up."
Sans looked up at the flower and gave a fake smile. He knew who had said that into the echo flower. It wasn't him but it was a flower. Flowey.
"I give up too, I give up on me, on my life, on my-," Sans stopped and started to cry.
He did that a lot here knowing no one was watching him. It felt nice for him to finally cry out in the open with no one judging him. He hated when monsters did that to him. To judge him so quickly that they didn't want to become friends with him until they finally did when they became drunk at Grillby's.
"What's wrong Sans?" a voice said from behind him.
Sans firmed up and wiped his tears off. He didn't want to know who was there. He was crying in front of a monster who was probably his friend. Sans never cried in front of monsters or people until now. Sans turned his head until he saw Frisk. Frisk had came into the underground a month ago and offered their soul to asgore  to free the monsters but Sans had said no and told and told frisk that he needed them. Frisk decided to stay in the
underground, due to sans.
"W-what do you want kid?" Sans asked looking at frisk.
Frisk knew what was wrong with sans but never brought it up. Sans knew it too. He hid his real state from everyone he knew, even his brother.
