1 year later...
"Watch it miss!" Then I felt something hit my shoulders that left me off guard and now I'm facing the floor.
"Ugh. The fucasdfghjkl" I muttered.
"HEY! Are you alright?" My co-worker asked me and help me stand up.
"Yeah." I groaned and pat the dirt out of my long skirt.
Its cold here in Colorado so I'm wearing a feathery cloth, a pair of feathered boots, and a thick scarf. I don't mind my messy shoulder-length hazel hair and continued giving fliers to strangers.
Yeah, this is one of my part time jobs. In a big ovaled shape central park where most of the people always go. They stay here, some group of asian-women meet up here, some sleeps in here. Hmm. I feel pity for them.
"Cassandra-"
"Shush! It's Sandra, remember?!" I finished Criselda's sentence. She's my personal maid, well-err I don't want her to follow me. She's just checking me around, 'cause I know I can't do the things that I wanted with her dogging around. I just found her in the villages I've passed through and unfurtunately, she's one of the villagers.
And I trust her, so I don't mind her seeing me like this. Well, she wanted to help me with little things, like washing my clothes, ironing my dresses, throwing the trash. But my get-away-mansion plan was just a waste if I let her do that so, I'm not allowing her to mind my things.
"Whatever young mistr--"
"Arrête de m'appeler ça Criselda!"
"I am sorry Ma'damme." She sighed and so did I.
"Again err-Sandra. Do you..... want a.... ..a ch-chase?"
I looked at her. Curiosity is written in my face
"Well...you see. You know Donovan is still chasing you--"
"WHAT?!" I almost banged the table. And that caught the attentions of some costumers. I bowed my head and looked at shocked Criselda's face.
"What on earth--I mean what-why? Its a year already." I whispered to her almost stuttering in disbelief.
"You have lost your manners my lady. Oh dear. For Kingdom's sake! They are your parents! What would you think they will do with their run-away daughter?" She whispered back in a low tone.
I sighed deeply. She's right. I have lost my manners. Well, its already gone since I turned 15 when I realized that the power and being one in the ranking isn't my tune.
But I knew I've dissapointed her, and my family. It wasn't my problem though if our family is second to the powerful Guilders in our place.
"I'm sorry. I think... its better this way. You go wherever you wanted."
"What do you mean Cassandra."
I know she is guessing what I am doing.
"I am not you're boss anymore. You may have your leave in my father's mansion. Thank you Criselda, for everything."
"But your mistress."
"Criselda, I left Cassandra in that place, and I am facing this real life estate. Striving to get what I wanted, not uhm... letting others do that. You know what I mean."
"Fine Sandra."
okay, that was a good start for her
"But. I will do whatever I may, so I wanted to help my dear friend, without powers and strings. As. I. Please."I saw Criselda blurry fading by making my eyes small, and I'm grinning.
I pointed her.
"You got me dear friend. You got me there hu-ha.""Indeed friend!" She burst into laughter and so do I.
Oh dear. Is having her as my friend is a good thing?????
"SANDRA! YOUR TIME'S UP!" I eventually jumped in my seat and grabbed my apron, I waved at Criselda walking out of the coffee shop.
Dang. Its my shift today I forgot.
And the hell? Why haven't I think that this is my second part time?Blah.
