MIDNIGHT 2:43
Kate. .....Kate. ........ come in, what are you waiting for?
"Huhh....Huhh.." Kate was puffing heavily "who are you? " She replied.
There was just pindrop silence. May be it was nightmare again. She was there in front of her eyes again and now it was something serious. Someone wanted to meet her.
NEXT DAY IN THE COLLEGE BREAK
"So you brought those peanut butter sandwiches? Yummm." Jason said as he took a big bite of his favourite peanut butter sandwiches. "Aunt made it right?"
Kate didn't speak she was reading her book.
"Kate. Are you listening to me?" Jason tried to break the silence.
"Hmm.." Kate replied.
"Is that book more interesting than the guy sitting before you?" Jason asked.
No reply again. Kate was very talkative and cheerful the silence which she kept means she was worried about something.
"What are you reading from this long?" Jason tried to put some interest in the book just to put her into their conversation.
"Jason it's not worth to listen if I tell it, you will surely not believe it." Kate sadly replied.
"Oh! So it was the nightmare again. Right?"Jason said thoughtfully.
There was silence again.
AFTER COLLEGE
Kate was heading to the bus stop when suddenly Jason came from behind and held her hand.
"Okay, I respect your feelings and the quality of your dreams, eyes, thoughts. .whatever. Tell me what exactly happened?" Jason questioned.
"I heard unusual sound like...."Kate had a pale face now.
" Like? " Jason interrupted, enthusiastic to know.
" Someone calling me and she said what are you waiting for? Come in." Kate said. The fear could be seen in her eyes. "And the book which I was reading was about the spirits which call you, tease you at night."
"Kate interested in a movie? I have not seen from long let's go." Jason tried to divert her horrified mind.
"No. May be some other day." Kate said.
"Why? You know I am free today, let's have fun Kate. "Jason said excitedly.
"My mom's not at home, can you come to my house? We will watch movie there. Kate asked.
"No problem, I will try to bring some movies from one of my friends, he keeps many" Jason said.
"Then at 8 o'clock, how's that?"Kate asked.
"Okay, your bus.ok bye I have some project. See you at eight" Jason said.
"Dinner at my home." Kate said as she climbed the bus.
"Bye....." Jason said as the bus moved on.
