They blindfolded me and when I heard pebbles under the tire I knew we were here. They undid the blindfold on me and I saw it was a huge plantation, we must be a few hours from civilization. They helped me out and I was escorted inside and up to my rooms by the same man. “you must change into workout clothes and come down to the gym. There is a map on your bed. And all your clothes.” Not feeling like arguing I nod and go into the room as the man closes the door. I pick up the clothes and quickly change, I look at the map and forget about the grease on myself. I walk out of the room and lock the door behind me with my new key then go into the gym. It’s a nice gym and I look around for the man. I spot him talking to a man my age or year older, who is hot, and an older man, maybe in his twenties, whose cute as well. I walk over to them and they immediately look at me. I wave, “Hi. I’m Adelaide. Just realized I have like fire powers or some crazy shit like that.”

They just stared at me in awe. “Well we have finally found the last elemental.” The man, who had escorted me here said. “Wait who's the fourth? We’ve found her, water belongs to me and wind goes to Henry but who has earth?” The cute boy my age asks. “We aren’t allowed to tell you that. That’s classified information, Asher. Oh and this is Adelaide she can control fire. She’ll be working with you on defence and combat and power controlling.” Asher nodded and walked over to me dragging me over to the mats. I looked at him fully, checking him out. He didn’t notice, thankfully, but I was really looking at his chest. He didn’t have a shirt on, but he had a six pack. He then looked over at me and when he noticed me looking at his chest he winked at me and looked at me, checking me out as well. I winked at him back, then smirked and raised my eyebrow leaning back a bit. He just huffed and turned away, “Don’t get any ideas. I still don’t know you, but you seem nice. Ok enough chit chat, we need to see your fighting instincts and abilities.” He lunged at me and I quickly dodged his lunge sending him to the floor, and then I became emotionless and I wanted to kill Asher. I launched myself onto him and he fell backwards with me on top of him. My body running the length of his, I felt a weird urge to snap out of my trance and get off him but I ignored it and pressed harder into him making him look weird.

I put one hand to his throat and the other I used to summon fire and I held it centimeters from his face. I got roughly pulled from his body and lifted into the air by the collar of my neck and the man’s other hand came around my neck. Little did my attacker know that he was choking me. I coughed and scrapped at his hands but they were firmly on my neck. I felt my head go fuzzy and I couldn’t feel my arms or legs.I went limp in his grasp and just hung there gasping. I just saw Asher get up running around me before air came back into my lungs. I fell onto the mat and pushed myself up onto an elbow leaning on my side. Asher came down in front of me as I took long slow breaths. He put a hand on my shoulder. “I’m sorry, that was Henry, he’s pretty protective of me. He can control air, so yeah, I’m sorry.”

I didn’t want to talk to anyone. I immediately launched myself from Asher’s grip and ran all the way back to my room.

I fell onto the bed and cried into my pillow, I couldn’t do this. I couldn’t be this person with special powers, I couldn’t meet their expectations. “Hey. Look you’re great. It’s just Henry, well he’s very protective. And he didn’t know who you were. I hope you can forgive me.” I look up at Asher and smile. I’m happy he followed me.

“So...do I have a roommate?” I asked hesitantly.

“Yes. I’m your roommate.” He giggles.

“Do you think that’s really a good idea? I mean a guy and girl… in the same room… everyday.” I ask.

“It’s ok. I...I...I’m gay. So You know, I like guys too.”

“Oh. Ok. That’s...That’s amazing! I’ve always wanted a gay friend, let alone a roommate!” I got up ran over to him and hugged the life out of him. He hugged back and rested his head on mine, “I can tell we’re going to get along well.”
