Regina wakes up to Roland bouncing on her bed, waking Robin up as well. The two start laughing at the little boy and get up. After a quick shower (together) they get dressed and Regina puts breakfast food outside the kitchen door. There's a note saying "Do not enter. Christmas cooking in progress." Robin giggled at the note and took Roland out to the park.
Regina however is now elbow deep in flour and baking stuff. She has already got everything set up fro the Christmas cake. She hears Henry coming through the front door. "Mom I'm going to make the invitations for the party!"
"You haven't made them yet?"
"I know, I know I forgot."
"That's not how I raised you Henry." She mumbled to herself and went back to kneading the pastry dough for the pear turnovers she was making. Yes pear. She isn't allowed apple so she thought she would make, a traditional Christmas cake, a large pear turnover, and chocolate orange muffins.
She put the Christmas cake in the oven and went back to the pastry. Once it was done she put the filling in and wrapped it up, ready for the oven. It needed to be on a lower heat than the cake so she decided to wait until the muffins went in, because they had the same temperature.
While she was waiting she made the muffins and while they were waiting to go in the oven she made the icing for the cake. By now the cake was ready and she took it out, letting it cool while she put the other two things in the oven. She wafted a try to cool down the cake and moved it onto a serving plate. She decorated the plate with some icing and left some for the top of the cake.
Once it was cooled down she covered it in fondant and piped a snowflake on the top. She tied a tartan ribbon around it and cleaned up. She was done. Now to hide all this food. She put the turnover in a box and in the fridge to be re-heated tomorrow and hid the cakes next to the turnover in the fridge, she used her magic to make it seem normal and the desserts were hidden from midnight snackers feeling like cake.
She went upstairs into the guest bedroom and got out her present for Robin. It was a picture of the forest so he would be at home.
While she was putting it away she saw a small box, unwrapped. It was a jewellery box, she couldn't help it, she had to open it. When she did she was a little necklace. It was a silver apple with a silver arrow through it. It was just like them.
"Aww." She smiled and put it back. Luckily hers had been hidden well so hopefully he hadn't seen it while putting hers away.
