Evelyn rushed down the stairs of her mothers and step fathers home.
"Are you ready?" She asked her mother.
"Ready for what?" Her mother asked.
"To take me to dads. I've been waiting for months."
" shit Evelyn. I forgot. I'll go get ready." Amy said.
Evelyn walked into her little brothers room. "are you going to tell me bye shortie"
"I'm not short" her now twelve year old brother had said.
"So you're not going to tell me bye then." Evelyn said faking a sad look.
"No"
"OK then." She said getting ready to leave the room.
"I'm going to miss you Evie." He said bursting into tears.
"Don't cry, I promise I'll be back."
"Pinkie Promise?" He said.
"Pinkie promise." She said hugging him.
