"Seàn, how long have you had these hallucinations?"

He didn't respond.

"I'm sorry. I know you don't like to talk about that."

He smiled sincerely at me.

"Seàn, you know that moment, when everything feels like it will never improve?"

He nodded his head.

"Everything is just terrible. It is just awful and continues that way for a long time."

"But then, it improves."

His eyes shined with hope.

"Someone or something comes along and helps you with everything. Almost like it never happened."

"It's amazing, isn't it?"

He sat up and fixed himself.

"Something will always happen. Someone will always come. Everything will always get better."

Seàn sighed and smiled at me.

I gave him a half smirk.

Seàn grabbed a pen and piece of paper that rested on the coffee table.

He wrote something down.

Can you tell me what it's like?

What what's like?

Happiness.

I looked up at him, with a slight tear in my eye.

He listened to all I had to say.

"Happiness comes in many different ways. From scenery, from people, from enjoyments."

"You may walk around in a lovely park and see so many green trees and grass. And birds and squirrels."

"Or somebody who is a friend or you love that you love being around."

"Or hobbies or tv shows that you really like that make you happy."

Seàn wrote something down.

But how does it feel?

"It's... It's very..."

He listened eagerly.

"Good and warm."

He smiled after I said that.

"Do you feel happiness often Seàn?"

I am so curious about Seàn me his character.

He shook his head no.

He mouthed the words, 'He won't let me'.

"You don't have to listen to him."

He nervously shook his head no.

On the paper he drew a very angry Anti face and a sad Seàn face.

His eyes widened and he started to get tears.

He plugged his ears and cried.

I used my finger to wipe away his warm salty tears.

I spoke to him softly.

"Everything will always improve."

Seàn lightly kissed my forehead.

Pink tickled my cheeks.

I sighed heavily and continued to sooth him.
