After Miss Duncan had come and gone as a tutor, every tutor after her suffered a similar fate, maybe not to the point of losing their memories, but they were all out of commission, meaning that they were never able to teach Crimson again.

These occurrences were so regular that Victoria, being the superstitious woman that she was, one who believed in the supernatural, like ghosts and clairvoyants, began to continuously mention words that were foreign to Crimson's father. Words that claimed that the house, or rather, the room where Crimson's lessons took place, was haunted by a vengeful spirit that attacked all of Crimson's tutors, what else could be blamed for all the mishaps that happened within the four walls of that 'dreaded room?' What made it more evident to Victoria that something was amiss, was that the incidents only happened thirty days after each tutor was hired, this was clearly abnormal, the vengeful spirits did not want visitors to become too permanent, that was Victoria's deduction.

Crimson's father fought a losing battle to reason against Victoria's claims, however, the incidents were so numerous that even he couldn't turn a blind eye to them. Then, finally, Crimson's father had to admit defeat, in order to appease Victoria, he changed the room Crimson had her lessons in. However, the incidents still persisted, causing Victoria to come to other conclusions. Originally, she thought the evil spirits needed to be exorcised, but the exorcist she'd secretly brought to do the deed said that the house was not haunted by anything, so Victoria drew the conclusion that it wasn't in fact evil spirits, but such bad luck was brought on by the boss' daughter who no one but her delusional father could approach.

After much thought on how she would deal with the situation, she finally confronted her boss, saying that he couldn't continue being blind to the situation, how many more victims did he want to see suffer, it was obvious that Crimson was responsible for all that had happened. Crimson's father honestly didn't know how to respond to Victoria's confrontation, he did not believe in such superstitious things.

Naturally too, Victoria was a woman whose mouth was like a 'forever open door,' always allowing words, without much thought, to rush through. The man did not wish for his daughter to be the object of rumors that people with too much free time had conjured up and others who would've heard and believed in the rumors, they  would twist the different speculations.

Surely he'd do anything for the safety of his daughter, but he didn't want to fire Victoria, she had her own financial difficulties to deal with, that was the reason he'd hired her in the first place. And so, instead of taking drastic measures, Crimson's father opted for a compromise.

He decided to have Crimson's lessons behind closed doors. Meaning, the professor would be on one side of a closed door while Crimson would be on the other side, thus, they would have no direct contact, they won't even be breathing the same air.

In a span of one week, Crimson's father had a transparent glass door constructed and installed in one of the rooms they rarely ever used. Then, Crimson's father searched for a teacher whom would accept his terms for teaching his daughter.

Initially, the teacher Crimson's father brought for her was open to the idea of teaching a 'special child' like Crimson, even with a thick piece of glass separating them, but on the first day he'd gone to teach Crimson, he felt conflicted. He'd be getting an excellent pay just to teach a child who seemingly wouldn't make problems for him by talking during classes, however, he had to question if the father-daughter pair's sanity was in sync with a normal person's. Was it even legal to have a child behind a glass like that, was Crimson being abused in any way? Were her rights even being observed? The man was mortified until he learned from 'Miss Loose Lips' that Crimson was allowed out of their 'study room' when he left. He also learned that  only his boss could approach his student without ending up with some deformity or a fractured or broken ligament.
