Jenelle took another shot of whiskey straight from the bottle. Aleana laughed and then took a swig too. "How can you drink this shit? It's awful." She asked Jenelle with only a bit of mild slurring. "Yeah it is but after a few more shots you won't care anymore."

After a few minutes both of them were sufficiently drunk. Jenelle wandered over to the couch where Brendan, Amy and Shane were smoking a hookah. She sat down on the arm of the couch and grabbed the pipe from Brendan. Brendan and Jenelle had hooked up once a few months back but now he had being trying to get out of the party scene and was dating Amy. It seemed lately that everyone she knew had been turning over a new leaf and she was stuck in an endless cycle of drinking, drugging and hangovers.

Her thoughts were quickly interrupted by Aleana tripping over the hookah pipe and the whole thing falling and smashing into pieces. Although Aleana was too drunk to notice, Shane was soon out of his seat and grabbing Aleana's arm. "Let go of her!" Screamed Jenelle. Nobody touched her best friend like that. "Woah, let's just all calm down." Amy said in a calming tone. "We are calm. It's your little bestie that touched my fucking friend!" Jenelle shouted at her. "What's your problem!" Amy shouted back. "Nothing, you little whore!" Jenelle shouted back as she dragged a very drunk Aleana out of the room.

Jenelle found a seat where Aleana could sit to sober up a bit. The room was partly empty except for several people doing lines of coke in the back. Jenelle went outside through the back door to lessen the chance of seeing Amy and Shane. Once she got outside she bummed a cigarette from a couple of other smokers that were standing outside. Jensen lights. They weren't her usual brand but they would have to do since her box had finished this afternoon.

When Jenelle had returned, she saw Aleana sitting with the guys in the back of the room doing lines with them. She seemed to have recovered quickly from her disorientated state that she had been in just a few minutes ago. It made sense since cocain is an upper but something about those people told Jenelle that she should get her friend out of there. But not before Jenelle did a line or two. She needed to seem alert before she got home or else her parents would think she had been drinking (among other things).

The next thing Jenelle knew she was in an ambulance on the way to the hospital.
