The Risk

I am in a dark forest
Trees the size of buildings
Soar high above my head
The moonlight barely shines
Through the mess
Of limbs and leaves
Beneath me
Is a  gravel pathway
I follow it
It seems like hours
Just walking
Barely able to see three feet
In front of me
I was beginning to think
That this path
Would go on forever
When suddenly
The path forks
In two different ways
In one direction
Is an eerie glowing light
And the other
Even darker than what
I left behind me
But for some reason
The darkness
Seemed much more calming
Than the light
I however
Have been in the darkness
For so long
I kind of want to see the light
Which path do I take
Should I take the risks
Associated with each path
Well
I guess I'll never know
