Lorien Legacies - Nine's Illness

Awake

I open my eyes. I'm looking at the ceiling. There's something cool and wet on my burning forehead. My stomach hurts.

I see Ella looking at me. I turn my head towards her. As I do this, my stomach churns and the thing on my forehead falls off.

'Oh shit, I'm gonna puke'

I lean over my bed and vomit right into a trash can. Ella shouts something but I can't hear it over the splash of the vomit.

My head is throbbing. I'm clutching onto the side of my bed, my hands hurt.

I hear fuzzy voices that I'm assuming belong to the rest of the Garde and Sam.

I'm breathing heavily. I feel a small hand rub my back in circles. It's Ella's hand. The pain in my stomach barely calms down. I loosen my grip.

I puke again. This time it lasts a while.
I'm panting, spitting, and coughing. This goes on for five minutes as I continue to hear the fuzzy voices, it's sounds like arguing. I can make out Ella saying "You'll be ok" and "It'll be all right Nine"

Ella takes her hand off of my back. She grabs the thing that was on my forehead, it's a washcloth, off of my bed. She balls it up and throws it at John, it hits him in the face. Everyone goes quiet.

"TAKE CARE OF YOUR BOYFRIEND, DAMMIT!" Ella yells.

Everyone looks embarrassed to have been arguing while I was puking my guts out.

"I'm sorry" John says. He's looking at the floor and blushing.

I look up towards his eyes, he looks up as well. We look into each other's eyes. John's face is apologetic. I smile at him. I open my mouth to say 'It's ok' but I end up vomiting again.

"Ugh" I groan.

My vision is fuzzy again. I see a hazy figure sit by me, it's John. He rubbs my back.

Ells sits beside John.

"Wait" Ella says. She gets up and inspects my puke. "There-there's"

"What" John says, he's worried.

Ella's speechless.

"What!" Marina yells, she's also worried.

"There-there's b-blood i-in hi-his vomit." Ella stammers.

Everyone goes quiet. Well, I can't hear anything. I think I've been puking blood this whole time.

I see hazy figure's mouths moving rapidly. I hear ringing. My vision goes black but I'm still conscious.

Someone pickes me up. I loose consciousness.
