Adeline Alfray-Dubois,
I understand your predicament and your struggles with the advancement of the British against your country. I, too, am in the same boat. The British have wanted my crown before I was even born. Your country has become a target in result of my personal absence, which I sincerely apologize for.
However, Scotland is in no condition to help Alvaka. We have to focus all our efforts on keeping our people alive and out of the British grasps.
Please understand. I am to be wed to Franics, an arranged marriage our parents have been planning since I was six. Maybe you can too seek the assistance of the French.
Afterall, the King and Queen have two more sons, Charles and Henry III. Charles is years younger than you and I, but a woman marrying a younger man is hardly unusual. We do what we must to save our country.
My regards,
Mary, Queen of Scots

Dearest Adeline,
It is with my deepest regret I inform you, Alvaka is under siege. With the Scottish Queen gone and in hiding at a convent in a clearing in the woods, the British army has redirected thier attacks. The British Queen has sent over 8 companies to invade Alvaka. They see your French blood in you and call you unfit. They wish to conquer and overthrow our family. They see you for what you are, in truth, a bastard of impure blood. Unmarried and next in line for the throne. Your father has no other successors. You are the last remaining heir to his throne.
It is time to leave your grandmothers cottage and to leave the safety the small goat farm has to offer. It is time to leave Alvaka, my dear. Your mother would have wanted it this way. You have to leave in search of more armies.
As you know, you have French blood as result of your father's relationship with the French maiden who was one of the Queen Catherine's ladies, your mother. You still have family in France. You can seek refuge amongst the royal family of France. I have already arranged it with King Henry II. Your carriage arrives at dawn and will take you by ship to the French docks.
You are to gain the respect and loyalty of King Henry II. We need armies, supplies and the assistance. We need the French on our side. We need you, Adeline. You alone are the hope of Alvaka.

Signed,
Your uncle
Collin G. Alfray

Queen Adeline,
I have come to learn you will be joining us within the month here the castle. I am unsure of what you would hope to gain from this, the hand of one of our younger sons, money or military assistance. We have much to discuss when you arrive. We weill have to negotiate everything else, but we would love to give you shelter from the British invasion. We cannot wait to talk. I am sure you will fit right in here, with your French blood.
In the mean time, I would love to give you a spot in the French Court as a trusted advisor. I knew your mother well, my dear.

Sincerley,
Queen Catherine
And the Royal Family

Royal Family of France,
I do not know what I would like from you. In truth, I am overwhelmed. I do not wish to impose or inconvenience your family and servants. I am extremely grateful for the safety you can offer me.
As for the spot in your Court, I accept.

Deepest gratitude,
Adeline, Queen of Alvaka

Alvaka and Adeline Alfray Dubois are fictional. Alvaka is not a country. She was not a real queen. Alvaka is between Britain and France, in the Celtic sea and by the Bay of Biscay. Its small and vulnerable.

Ive never written somethig like this so its cool, I get to create a whole nee country and culture. You will see a lot of Alvakan culture and traditions in this story.

Happy reading!
