(This tale comes from the history books of Elysia. It is the tale of the first King of Elysia.)
It was the 9th day of the 5th moon of the year, and the sun was high overhead. Through out the land a cry rose to the sky, for at last the Stone Of Blood had chose a king. The stone had been in the land of what is now Elysia, for back than it was called Noitom, and it was the job, nay the calling of the stone to pick the one that would be the king of the land. On this day the stone was silent no more.
The chosen king was a young man, just intering in to adulthood, named Adrian. His bride not desided yet, though Adiane knew who he wanted to stand by his side as he went through the rest of his life.
When the cries of the Stone Of Blood choose Adrian. His sea green eyes misted over with tears at the beautiful sound the stone made. He never believed that the stone would choose him. At the stones cries ended he ran to the village, to claim his bride.
His choice was Amethyst, the daughter of the village cloth weaver. Adrian did not know whether it was the young girls deep hazle eyes or her long brown hair he was attracted to. Maybe it was the way she moved, spooke, or any of a number of other things. Yet she was the one that he wanted to be with him for all eternity. He had eyes only for her. She was all he thought about when he thought of a mate. She was the one that he wanted to be his for all time. He would stop at nothing to make her his for all time.
As he ran to the village he was afraid, afraid that she would turn him down. Even though he knew that once he was crowned King he would have no choice but to wed her and become his for all time. But alas when he asked her, Amethyst cried tears of joy as she said yes. They were wedded that day in a shower of blossoms falling from the tree that held the home of the Stone of Blood and the next day Adrian and Amethyst were crowned the king and queen of the land.
10 Months later the queen gave birth to a baby boy, in which the king and queen named Adian. But that My students is another lesson, for another day.
