(Y/n) sat in the courtyard, just staring at the sky. She had given up. She stopped looking, talking, and giving any sort of attention to Zero. But... he wasn't done. For the last week or so, he'd been trying to get her to talk to him. Of course, it hurt her every time she saw him, but she chose to ignore it. She was trying so hard to forget him, but he was making it impossible. Every time she tried to concentrate on her work, she'd see his face in the letters. Every time she tried to read something or do her homework or draw or write, she'd see his name. Every time she tried to forget him, he plagued her mind even more. It just seemed... so impossible.

"(Y/n)!" She heard.

"Oh no." She got up and tried to run away, but a hand grabbed her arm and stopped her from leaving. "What Zero?" She asked.

"I'm sorry!" He yelled. Her eyes widened and she stopped struggling. Her head slowly turned to look at him.

"W-what?"

"I'm sorry. For hurting you so badly. I lied. I like you! No, I love you. I just... I didn't want to go through what I had gone through with Yuki. You deserve someone better (Y/n), really you do... but I can't bring myself to losing you. I just can't." He said, pulling her closer. She didn't struggle nor try to escape his grip. She stayed in his arms as the tears welled up in her eyes. He was doing it again. He was giving her hope and making her think that he'd shatter them. Why? Why was he so complicated? Why couldn't this just have been a fairy-tale where he'd accepted her confession on the first day and they'd kissed and it would've been better? Why?

"Y-you love me?" She asked, looking up at him. He gave her a nod. He leaned down and kissed her cheek. Her face erupted in a blush. Zero gave a light chuckle.

"Look's like it's pretty easy to make you blush."

"Shut up." (Y/n) pouted.

"So, (Y/n). Will you go out with me?" He asked. Her pout vanished and was replaced with a bright smile.

"Of course!" She giggled. She wrapped her arms around him and hugged him tightly. He returned her hug.

"I love you, (Y/n)."

"I love you too, Zero." She whispered. His face got closer and closer, until his lips met hers. (Y/n) kissed back, shyly and she was a bit inexperienced, but it wasn't bad. Zero actually enjoyed it. The two pulled away, but only for a moment, before they kissed again. Well... better late then never, I suppose.
