Beth.

"Hello, you've reached Pete's Pizzeria."

I roll my eyes. "Good morning to you too, Hunter West."

"Is that a thing?"

"Huh?"

"You calling me Hunter West. Is that a thing now?"

I shrug - even though I know perfectly well that he can't see me - and flip over so that I'm on my belly, lying on my bed with my elbows as support. "It's a thing."

He chuckles that deep sexy chuckle of his. "Alright then. So, to what do I owe the courtesy of this call?"

"Nah I'm just calling to tell you that I have plans today." I check my purple manicured nails - they're starting to chip and it triggers my perfectionism. I make a mental note to have them fixed later while I'm at the mall with Joey and Elisa.

It's been awhile since I've decided to hang out, but seeing as it's what I've been doing with Hunter West, I figure it couldn't hurt to reconnect with my previous friends again. I don't know, but I have a feeling that Marco would want me to. He'd want me to go out and live, not mope around in this pathetic state since last Christmas. I smile a little as I imagine him lecturing me to go get a life and stop blaming myself for his death. My smile fades a little as I realize that what he is - dead, because of me.

"Hello? Earth to Beth?"

I blink, coming out of my reverie. "Yeah?"

"Did you hear what I asked?"

"Uhm," I chew a bit on the insides of my cheek. "Oops?"

"You spaced out again, didn't you?"

"Guilty."

I picture Hunter West sighing with fake contempt. "You're hurting my ego with your frequent trance mode."

"Sorry," I bite back a smile. "What's that you were saying?"

"I was asking," he corrects me. "Who's the bastard you've chosen over me?"

I roll my eyes again though the smile is now tugging at my lips. "I do have other friends, you know."

"Hello, did you just order two boxes of regular-sized pepperoni extra cheese pizza ma'am?"

I can't help but laugh out loud at Hunter West's untypical greeting. Deciding to play along, I put on my best imitation of a Southern drawl, "Ya don't say! I've been waitin' for almost an hour."

"Coming right up, ma'am," he laughs just as I hear the doorbell ring.

I almost drop the phone. Seriously? If that's him at my door, I swear I'll -

"Ma'am? Are you gonna leave the poor pizza boy freezing outside?" Hunter West says through the phone, obviously trying to suppress his laughter.

I scramble to my feet hastily, never mind that it's a few minutes to midnight, and leave the comfort of my sofa to open the door for the most unpredictable dark haired boy ever to roam this earth. Of course he hasn't come empty handed. I peer at the untidy scrawl on the top of the pizza boxes - regular pepperoni extra cheese.

"Hunter West! Are you for real?"

He lets himself in, a full blown grin on his face at my priceless response. I close the door behind him as he sets the pizzas on the coffee table, pushing my laptop aside, and settles onto the couch that I have been snuggling in for the past few hours.

"You're in my seat," I complain, arms crossed.

"You have cute PJs," he giggles like a girl.

I glare at him.

He stares back, acting innocent.

My gaze doesn't waver.

"Alright, alright," he puts both hands up in mock surrender. "It's big enough for the both of us. Here, see?" He pats the empty space beside him.

I sigh and plop down next to him, replaying the show that I've been watching before being rudely interrupted. I mean, it's The Flash, even Marco wouldn't dare interrupt me when I'm watching Barry Allen defeat the newest evil speedster in town.

"Pizza?" Hunter West flashes it in my face, trying to get my attention.

I take a bite out of the slice in his hand without removing my eyes from my laptop screen, nearly moaning in satisfaction. If there's anything I would die for, it's pizza. And CW. Definitely the best combination.

There's one thing though - "How did you know which pizza topping I like?"

I see Hunter West smirk in my peripheral vision as Barry is having a moment with Savitar, the so called god of speed. "A little birdy told me."

"Oh yeah? The same birdy who told you where I live at?"

"The very one."

"You know, I'd never have pegged you as a stalker, Hunter West." I wince as Barry gets his ass handed to him. Savitar is really living up to his name. "Why are you here anyway? It's almost midnight. You should be sleeping."

He pokes my side. "I don't get how you can talk to me and catch all that action at the same time. Won't you get distracted?"

"No, I'm a meta-human," I announce proudly. "Multitasking is my super power."

"Very funny."

"Stop changing the topic, Hunter West," I deadpan. "You haven't answered my question."

"Well," he draws out the last syllable, the sound of it covering up a very scientific explanation Cisco is giving to Team Flash. If it isn't for the subtitles, I would have slapped a hand over Hunter's mouth to shut him up. "I can't leave you one day without a reason to keep on living, can I?"

"Oh." Of course it's because of that. "So, what's today's reason then?"

"It's going to be very lame compared to the last two days'," Hunter West admits. "I hope you wouldn't mind. I'm running out of ideas, sorry."

I pause the show, hoping he realizes how much of a big deal that is to me, pausing The Flash mid-episode just to listen to his reason. "I'm all ears."

Hunter West smiles then, that warm fuzzy smile that could melt the iciest of hearts. "Well then, I want you to stay alive, because I want to have more pizza nights with you, watching your most adorable reactions while you binge watch all your favorite shows." The last word barely leaves his mouth as the digital clock on the table beeps twice, indicating midnight.

And I smile too, because Hunter West's smiles are kind of infectious. "I think I can do that."

I really liked writing this though, and I hope you liked reading it as much. It was just so cute of Hunter to show up at Beth's house at midnight with pizzas - I wish my boyfriend would do that (@Jace that would be you if you're ever going to read this *cough* *cough* )

Anyway, please vote and comment your thoughts, cheers! x
