Yuri's pov
Somehow we managed to escape from the airport without having to see him. I booked into our hotel room Christophe had reserved for us and called him, asking about Victor's presence in Spain and I ran out of luck, he really is coming for tomorrow reunion party. It was 9 pm and Minako-san was freaking out at the moment.
"What is Victor doing here?" Minako groaned as she wandered around our hotel room, unpacking her baggage of clothes. "I can't believe this."
"This is the worst." I slapped my face with both hands. I was lying on a single bed with my daughter fell asleep beside me, I guess the fourteen hours flight was too exhausting for her. "What should we do?"
Should we not attend the party and go around the city instead? Yep, sounds like a great plan.
Minako threw me a harsh look, "I know what you are thinking and we are not going to do that. You should attend the party."
"No way, I couldn't even stand being in the same room as him. It's making me sick." I denied, just the thought of seeing him eye to eye already sent a disgusted tingling to my stomach.
She slumped her body to the single bed next to mine, "Why is he here in the first place anyway? I thought the invitation only valid for two people to each contestant. Oh my god, so that means I couldn't come, could I? AH, so much for meeting my idols."
I sat up and glared at her. "Is that what you are worried about? Not meeting your idols?" I sighed, "I couldn't be more miserable than this." I slumped back to the bed.
"You sir are coming to the party no matter what it takes!" Her voice was firm and loud as I shushed her afraid it might wake my daughter up, "Change of plans. You can't bring Yuna with you, leave her with me. I'm good at babysitting just so you know."
Yeah. The idea of Yuna meeting her biological father is the worst. There is no way Victor wouldn't realize something's off about her, at least not when they shared the same eyes and nose. My main goal is that Victor should never know her existence. He's a smart man, I should be more careful with him. Play safe.
"So, Am I really going to visit the hell tomorrow?" I sweated. A place with a demon inside is called hell.
"Don't say it like it's a bad thing." She got up from her bed and sat on mine, leaning over and pinching my cheeks. "Hey, isn't this an opportunity for you?"
"Opportunity? Are you kidding?" I lightly brushed her hands off me.
"An opportunity to make him feel sorry for being a dick." She was rubbing her chin, "If you don't show up, he would most likely consider you as a coward. So you gotta show him that you are strong enough after all those shits he put you through. Like a slap on his face! Make sure he regrets leaving you in every single hour on his life."
"H-How?" I half-heartedly asked. There is nothing special in me. If I was special, he wouldn't have left me in the first place.
"Confident is the key. You also have to dress up the best you can be and I'll help you with that. Just so you know I'm also good at dressing people up, besides, your natural face is already beautiful so that's a plus." She winked and got up, going back to her own bed. "Did you bring your contact lens with you?"
