Another little idea of mine - Brendon and the reader's parents go to church together so they know eachother through church, she sticks up for him when he's being bullied and finally finds the opportunity to tell Brendon she likes him.

I began to leave my music class, noticing Brendon taking his time to pack up his stuff, I walked out of the class slowly, I groaned slightly seeing Chad waiting for me, he was smirking in his football jacket that he always wore.

"Hey babe." He said in a sickly sweet tone, winking at me, god he pissed me off.

"Hi Chad." I said coldly, walking past him towards my locker, I was putting my stuff in my locker ready to go home when Brendon walked past to his locker that was only a few away from mine. He smiled at my shyly, taking his glasses off and adjusting his hair as he looked at me, bumping into his locker as he focused on me, not where he was walking, I giggled as he blushed and reorganised himself, he looked so cute. I continued to put my books away when I walked out of the school to the front ready to head home, I heard a commotion and turned to see Chad getting in Brendon's face, Brendon was looking away trying to get past him.

"You wanna make googly eyes at my girl again?" Chad snarled, his jerk friends jeering at Brendon, I began to walk over.

"I wasn't doing anything, just leave me alone." He tried to walk past but Chad pushed him, I began to speed up.

"Hey! Leave him alone." I shouted, pushing past a few people to get closer.

"I didn't do anything." Chad looked to his goon friends, smirking.

"Think I should let him go boys?" His friends jeered no at him, Chad turned around and pushed him again, I yelled for him to stop but he didn't listen, I lunged forward when he punched Brendon square in the face. I went to run towards him but his stupid friend caught me, holding me back from him.

"Let go of me!" I yelled struggling against him as he laughed, I snarled and turned, swinging my fist and connecting with his jaw, stunning him, I sprinted forward towards Chad, he punched Brendon in the stomach just before I shoved him away. "Get the fuck off of him!" I yelled stepping between them.

"Really come on babe, you're gonna stick up for this nerd." I pushed him again, squaring up to him.

"Get the fuck away from me, don't you dare EVER speak to me again." I turned and looked at Brendon, he had a cut on his forehead, it was bleeding and he was clutching his stomach slightly. "And if you or your goon friends ever touch me again it'll be the last thing you ever do." Chad smirked and began to walk away, I turned back to Brendon, looking at the cut on his head.

"You didn't have to do that." He mumbled, looking down away from my eyeshot, I touched his cheek gently, hugging him a little.

"Brendon... I am so so sorry!" He shrugged and looked away again. "Come to my place, let me clean you up."

"No... it's ok, I'll be fine." He shook his head and picked up his bag that he had dropped.

"No! Please, it's because of me he did that! Please? Our moms know each other from church so my mom won't mind you coming over." I pleaded with him slightly, he relented and smiled slightly, he nodded and I lead him back to my place.

"I'm so sorry Brendon." I said again, breaking the silence as we walked, meeting his eyes, the cut on his forehead had bled slightly, staining his forehead, we approached my house and I took his hand.

I lead him into my house and sat him down on a chair in the kitchen, I put my bags down and smiled at him.

"Here, sit down and I'll be right back." I wandered off to find the medical stuff from the bathroom, I picked up some stuff to clean it and headed back to him, sitting back down in front of him I smiled. I touched his forehead gently, dabbing the cloth I had got from the medical kit in some cleaning fluid. I held his face in my hand as I dabbed the cut, he winced slightly, I slowly wiped away the blood from the cut, holding his chin gently in my fingers, I changed to another piece of cloth and wiped the last of the blood off. I reached to get some sterilising fluid to stop it getting infected, our eyes caught each other as I wiped it and we stared for a moment, I was about to tell him I liked him but he winced in pain again.
